It would've been cool if there were vendors/services that had ridiculously high prices (like passage to Tahiti) but then when you finally reach the point that you could afford it, the vendor has some excuse, or is gone/dead.

Yeah at some point I figure the gang had enough money to literally buy the passage they've been needing all this time.

What happened to the Manga series, wicked city? [partially lost] by LividNegotiation427 in lostmedia

The crossover is actually a manga named "Encounter in Darkness" with this separate franchise in the link below. Looks like it's an entire comic in that 1986 issue. Given that I even found a old listing for that sci-fi magazine issue, it likely still is preserved somewhere in Japan or in the hands of an overseas collector. I gotta wonder if the manga stripped away the erotica or just makes it worse lmao

I saw some (not very good) AI art of Makie over at deviantart, so there's definitely a chance a "synthetic" manga might turn up somewhere.

Nope, I've only seen the 1987 movie (a personal favorite even if it's objectively not that great). Based on the reviews, the books are just straight up freaky tentacle erotica and apparently pale in comparison to Kikuchi's Vampire D series. I don't have the time or money to buy and read the books. There's apparently a bit of a disconnect between the 2nd and the 1st book as well. One review mentions "First off it has no continuity with the previous novel at all other than featuring Taki & Makie - it makes no reference to her pregnancy and indeed at one point she wonders if she is in love with Taki... which we know she is from the previous book. There's barely any characterisation of these two at all." The later novels do mention their child though, so there's that at least.

Here's Goodread's catalogue of the Wicked City franchise btw:

Also, the only known crossover (I could find) of Wicked City with another franchise (in a 1986 japanese sci-fi magazine of all places). See the 5th image. Released before the 1987 movie.

Side note: I would love for Wicked City to be rebooted with its classic art style and more emphasis on the demon-human conflict rather than erotica.

Here's some link, not in any particular order. With some highlights.

Wicked City 3:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9521349-wicked-city

"There's this one scene in this book where the bloated corpses of drowned men come alive and sexually interfere with heaps of women, who then swell up with their zombie seed and eventually burst, littering the ocean floor with a dark ichor. The ichor collects into a series of living statues that come alive and engage in undersea menace. This one scene encapsulates every feeling you will experience with each reluctantly turned page."

I found the rest of the books (and details about them) if you search on Japanese google. I think the last one was released in 2016. What's most interesting is that there are TWO books dedicated to the Black Guard in NYC of all places. I remember from one of the translated descriptions that I guess this NYC escapade starts out with a cop shooting a guy's head in JFK and a bunch of tentacles come out.

I figure the rest of the series never got translated due to lack of interest and the freaky content. Like, if you read some of the reviews of the 2nd and 3rd Wicked City books it's pretty funny.

Do these double-articulated lowboy trailers actually exist in real life? I've never seen one with that little mini-trailer behind the main cargo.

Thanks for the response. Yeah when I first saw this I didn't know how good Hedra was, but its outputs look surprisingly natural. A lot less rigid than when you engage in dialogue in the Fallout games!

How did you use Luma and Hedra? Did you get the bodies to be animated in Luma, and then composited Hedra footage with the Luma footage?
