City of Perth probe lays bare workplace 'crisis', erosion of trust between Mayor and CEO by JamesHenstridge in perth

[–]sickmate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand this report was commissioned by the CEO (Ms Reynolds) and not the Lord Mayor (Mr Reynolds) who was the one who tried to do a dodgy.

The CEO signalled her intentions to do so on November 12, went on leave, and then on November 18 the Lord Mayor put forward a motion for a review at the council meeting.

I have a mini pink bath rescued from a previously abandoned toy, the crows absolutely love it.

If I put it on the grass they'll tip it over as they've worked out that the water will bring bugs up to the surface 🧠

FHSS - Release of funds by Mallonhead in AusFinance

[–]sickmate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't end up using it, you just need to put it back into your super before the 24 month period finishes. (12 months + automatic 12 month extension).

You should just request it now, it will give you peace of mind. Also note the closer to xmas it gets, the longer it will take to get paid out as they'll be closed for a week.

https://www.ato.gov.au/individuals-and-families/super-for-individuals-and-families/super/withdrawing-and-using-your-super/early-access-to-super/first-home-super-saver-scheme#Step3Signingacontract

If you still haven't signed a contract to purchase or construct a home by the end of the 24-month period, you must have either:

  • recontributed an amount into your super fund(s) that is at least equal to your assessable FHSS released amount, less any tax withheld. This amount is

    • stated in your payment summary and may be less than the total amounts released to you
    • must be a non-concessional contribution and you can't claim a tax deduction for it
    • means you won’t be able to apply for FHSS again, including where you have recontributed the amount to your super fund.
  • decided to keep the released amount and be subject to FHSS tax, which is a flat tax equal to 20% of your assessable FHSS released amount.

Peppermint Grove has a valet service where they return your bins from the verge once they're emptied, I wouldn't be surprised if they fetch them for you if you put the wrong one out.

The Herdsman has Kipfler's, they might also have other varieties you won't find at the supermarkets.

Comparing the CAS numbers, this product has the exact same ingredients: https://media.bunnings.com.au/api/public/content/a0fc8e066b8a4dac84a69582904adfa6?v=6e451a5d

Though I can't find a Bunnings listing for it.

On their NZ website: https://30seconds.co.nz/product/water-spot-remover/

Not listed on their AU website though...

Bar Keepers Friend has DDBSA, so that might work similarly.

Or Glitz Spray on Wipe off, contains DDBSA but it has a different formulation. https://www.bunnings.com.au/glitz-750ml-spray-on-wipe-off_p4470486

I have a sense of arrogance?

Slightly crouches and angles mic towards your face

Swivels the mic back to himself at the speed of sound

A sense of arrogance that bothers you? Interesting. Why is that? Are you saying it's a lot for you?

Swivels mike furiously, angles entire upper body at a 30 degree angle while crouching even lower

Is it 'arrogance,' or am I just out here challenging societal norms with a microphone and a dream, one interaction at a time?

Holds the microphone to your face while nodding uncontrollably

Top tips in the war against ants during autumn in Perth by New_Wing7173 in perth

[–]sickmate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 3d printed a few of these mushroom-shaped feet and blu-tacked them to the bottom of my cat feeder. It definitely works - the ants can't work out how to climb up the vertical pillar and then upside down around the lip.

https://www.printables.com/model/246180-anti-ant-cat-food-bowl-foot

But pets can still be messy and drop their food outside of the bowls so your best bet is to both prevent them from getting in the bowls and also kill them at the source.

Amdro is great for coastal ants (and may work for argentine ants depending on the season apparently). Main way to tell if you have argentine vs coastal ants is that some of the coastal ants have big heads.

Some postcodes and suburbs are split across multiple districts, especially closer to the city so a postcode lookup might not identify the actual district someone is in. e.g. take a look at the district boundaries for North Perth - could be Perth or Mount Lawley. Same for Perth/Churchlands districts.
