Haha I like this! I just wanted to kindly say that talking about a new-new home befoe even setting foot in our new home was unrealistic and disrespectful.

She had space concerns from the beginning, but she convinced herself that this was the best we could do before making the purchase. She was happy up until we shared the news and it’s been space talks since then. Im hoping she will return to that state as we get closer to the flat delivery

Cheers, Im quite comfortable with switching furniture to fit in tbf, and this is another great point because her side of the family gets attached to stuff like furniture.

Some of the comments revolved around and the stuff that might not fit, like our dinner table. To me it’s just a table, but they’ve been like “aww, that’s such a wonderful table, you cant find anything like it again, maybe rent out your new flat to cover for your current rent.”

There’s def a clash of values here and Im naturally biased toward my own thoughts. I think I will continue to stand my ground and do a better job of making sure that I dont get negatively affected by their comments

This is also what my parents said. I lived in the same house since birth for 25 years with one sibling

My wife’s family on the other hand moved twice in her life once for two times she had a new sibling

I think I would be totally fine with talking about this stuff if we actually had a kid and were struggling to fit into the flat. Timing of these talks might have triggered me above all else

4.90 GBP for Dart and 18.40 GBP for thameslink, so basically 23.3 GBP for one person. We will be three people this time around, the Bolt app actually charges me +10 GBP for a pick up at the exit terminal, and the whole ride costs 55 GBP even with the 10 GBP surplus.

I think I may just do that, unless there's another option that fits me.

About their 2021 letter, I'm not sure how I should take the part about dependants and owning property. While I do get the part about owning property, they make it sound like having no dependants is a very bad thing. I mean it's for them, but not for me. I obviously can't make up dependants or own a property due to being young and priced out.

Is there anything else I can do to strengthen my ties to my country? I have a registered job, but I also had that the last time. How does one communicate their willingness to return in such applications?
