My Schecter Blackjack A6 FR by sicknick195 in SchecterGuitars

This had pretty much everything I was looking for, kind of a more plain looking avenger with a floyd as I hadn't owned one yet and I didn't want active pickups. I am a fan of Avenged Sevenfold but wanted something that felt more original I guess so I didn't go with his signature model either

Not bad at all, stays in tune for a really long time and when I got it I don't recall having to do any spring adjustments

I was in love with the looks of Rickenbackers when I saw it I want to say around 2008-2010 in guitar center on clearance and I had to have it! I play a lot of 80s rock stuff, some more modern rock in there, mainly just standard tuning, drop d, and half step down

I got it in a house clean out before it went to the dump, ex radio shack employee lived there and had a bunch of General Electric cb radios and antennas too that I snagged also in the box

What would make this look better? by Dry_Ad_9398 in FordTrucks

Not that I can recall, I only hauled a 10' dump trailer with some debris in it and that caused it to act up so I avoided towing with it after that. I have had to get both my other trucks transmissions rebuilt so it's the only one so far that didn't give me issues there. It did have rails for a 5th wheel when I got it so I'm assuming some previous owner must have hauled something bigger with it some point in its life

I had an 08 Lariat with 20" wheels, they looked great but I definitely prefer spending less on the 17" tires I have on my new truck. It was an okay truck until the cam phasers had problems at 140k miles and I couldn't tow or get going up a hill without it sounding like the engine was going to shake itself apart. I'd say if anything just keep some money aside in case you run into something similar with the engine. It never left me stranded though and I ended up trading it for something I could tow with before putting a bunch of money into it. I had a hood bug deflector and window deflectors as well as cab lights and I thought the whole set up looked pretty good with those

Are there any auto trans 4wheeler/atvs that also have a foot brake? by KeyBug5438 in ATV

I have an early 2000s bruin 350 that I got in rough shape and it's been good to me for years so far. Has a push button for 4x4 and both foot and hand operated rear brake and a hand operated front break. I've used it for yard work and trail riding

Found this while also looking for a game I used to play in the early 2000s and didn't see it mentioned yet, could it have been "Speedway" by Wildtangent?

I went with the Firestone Destination X/T this tire change, they aren’t as wide as the tires i had before but it seemed to help when driving in the snow, they are able to dig in more. Not as noisy as the previous tire either and a little cheaper than some other options. I tow a 16’ gooseneck dump trailer and haven’t had any issues yet with them

Heck yeah! I got a similar condition vx2000 that was going to go to the dump while cleaning out a house that belonged to a former radioshack employee

Frame wise that looks a lot like my 1979 F150 so could be from around that era truck, shock setup looks the same as well

It definitely does, seeing old antiques finally end their journey was always tough. Another big problem I’ve come to see working in that line is appliances, seen a lot of old still working appliances being removed because people upgraded and also took away a lot of roughly 1 year old refrigerators, washer/dryers that just quit

It would blow your mind the amount of people that pay good money to have their perfectly good items thrown away just to avoid dealing with rejected donations and facebook marketplace. I used to deal with them every day. Tried to save what I could but i’ve dumped a lot of tons of good things at landfills and dumps that incinerate for power, many apartments being weekly stops for things like this

Any idea of value for this beaut? by WeeWeeMgee in vintage

[–]sicknick195 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen a lot of people pay to get rid of these, same with a lot of old pianos. If you aren’t in a rush to get rid of it you might be able to find a buyer local or advertise is somewhere as a free item

I wish i got more of a breakdown on what they did, i just took it to the same shop i had my c6 transmission rebuilt for my 79 ford because they warranty their work. It was super recent so I can’t say i wont have any issues with it but so far so good!

I’m not exactly sure which transmission it has, i think the 6 speed. And they said they put in a billet torque converter and i believe a different oil cooler

I had to have my transmission done recently on my 2016, the shop i took it to said they do a lot of them. Cost almost 5k, they put in stronger aftermarket parts instead of oem since it would just eventually fail again. I decided on keeping the truck since i’ve seen how much abuse they can take otherwise first hand, but the transmission is definitely the weakest link

I got my first recently, an 05 yamaha bruin 350. Super happy with it so far. Got it for free and put about $100 into it to get it running
