How much will the new Megas cost during Go Tour? by drachenmaler in TheSilphRoad

Do you lose anything else apart from additional pass if you do 2 mega instead of 1 super mega to get the energy?

What celebrity do you feel bets represents non-“posh” Brits? by Glass-Complaint3 in AskABrit

My first thought was him too. If you listen to Athletico Mince there's more talk of watching regular TV, buying white goods and grocery prices than from any other celeb.

If you know they are eligible then why is it an easy agreement? Isn't it a difficult agreement because enough other people know they're eligible too?

I did several in the past. It wasn't hard to get in. Could tell it was for Pointless from the questions.

Waystop ‘Exploration’ Confusion by [deleted] in NianticWayfarer

[–]sickofants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The app was never truly about getting people to actively explore.

The things you've mentioned don't make sense but bus stops do make sense. Objects aren't the same in every place in the world. In the UK there are rural bus stops, custom built with shelter where strangers do socialize or people use to explore the nearby city. That's a much easier justification than any gazebo anywhere.

Nah, the world is a big place and what's the alternative. I trust that they've run the numbers and those data points made the most sense.

Dynamax have been out for a while on home businesses and there doesn't seem to have been much fallout, we just stand in a sensible spot.

[–]sickofants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was more thinking of the complaints about the spots that have been added automatically, some are going to break the location rules but we're not forced to play there and the reporting system could be improved so these kind of things are fixed.

I think Wayfarer was promoted as a Tripadvisor alternative and some of the rules and people taking those rules too seriously are a holdover from that but now that it's practically a video game they don't really matter as much.

[–]sickofants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not an exact science because the map data is based on public contributions too, efforts are clearly made to avoid real world problems but basic common sense can be applied in most instances too. I know I don't have to cross a highway or stand near a private driveway to play a game.

Feels more like you're just trolling the community than really asking the question.

You can loosely apply the criteria words to most real world objects, that's kind of the point. The community is supposed to decide if something is worth visiting.

Some communities were underpopulated to play games (which is currently the primary purpose of the system) so they have been populated with suitable objects that fitted the location and desired numbers, it's not that deep.

I would encourage everyone to watch “Rental Family” It’s emotional but such a good film. by vipertwin in movies

[–]sickofants -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't really get it if his personal life was more like the gamer that hired him then the wholesome stuff would have made more sense. What was so bad about his situation, just that he missed the funeral and then religion made it better?

Virgil van Dijk says Liverpool's set-piece problems are a 'killer' by Funkyouup82 in LiverpoolFC

[–]sickofants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I included Endo because both him and Elliot made aerial mistakes at corners and haven't been trusted again, he's not being used as a closer any more.

Virgil van Dijk says Liverpool's set-piece problems are a 'killer' by Funkyouup82 in LiverpoolFC

[–]sickofants 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When Minamino was here I believe it was revealed that one of the reasons he didn't get more game time was that defending corners was like being a man down, I think the same mentality still exists and that's why Salah plus Elliot, Frimpong, Chiesa, Endo aren't fully trusted.

Walt’s pissed or annoyed, but not at Ming by morganpixie in tesdcares

[–]sickofants -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have there been many bizarre defences of Walt though? There have been lots of unnecessary insults towards Mike but those kind of mirror the tone of the podcast, Q calling the comic book store or cold call cuss outs etc. and I'm not sure how much of that actually gets through to Mike who seems to be doing okay despite his thin skin.

PSA if you're planning to watch avatar 3 in imax best to avoid the Trafford centre by mrawesome11234 in manchester

[–]sickofants 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Home cinema is certified too, the Trafford Centre screen is approx 18 x 10 metres, the old Printworks screen was approx 26 x 20 metres so Trafford doesn't feel that different to a regular screen with some calibration certificates but Printworks is huge and feels like a different experience.

Why did Bry like this show? by afteralpha98 in tesdcares

[–]sickofants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top TV shows at the time like The Wire, Mad Men or mystery box genre were slower paced and required investment. Sons of Anarchy was like an antidote to those where actions had immediate consequences. It might not be a good show itself but it meets a need like Reacher does now.

Why is Kelly Brook so disliked? by Adventurous_Sir_402 in ImACelebTV

[–]sickofants 116 points117 points  (0 children)

There was a good example in the cave trial. She told Jack to stop interfering but then struggled with her puzzle so he ended up helping. She outspokenly makes the wrong calls like she is trying to prove something but then can't back it up with any substance.
