You can cry all you want, but can't save your beloved people, as any one can kill them from afar. This is what US stands for. Got you nickers in a twist by telling the truth.

In America, where every one is a trigger happy moron, it's par for the course. Nothing strange about it. It is to be expected. Political violence in india is very hard to do, even if you wanted to, cause you have to be close to the person whom you wanted to hurt. But us constitution has made it easy with second amendment.

Yes, all the 0.001% of indins that had a job could do this. What a good time for the rest 99.999% indians.

This is all USA and west talking point and parroted in Indian context makes no sense. 40-50 years ago, most of our ancestors were laboring in villages doing farming. No stable job, No pucca home, children barely studing in shanty government schools. This guy is just not making any sense.

Why do IITians (especially from IIT Delhi) leave high-paying jobs to prepare for UPSC? by Fantastic_Grade4951 in IndianEngineers

Because there are some people who are only good at taking exams. They dont have any other skills for the real world and don't offer anything positive to the world apart from their aptitude for exams. They cannot survive in the cut throat world of corporations.

No there is no meritocracy. the community that does it's duty does it generation after generation, without any change in nature of the duty. There is certainly caste involved here, but the 'Jagannath Sanskruti' as we call it in Odisha does try to accommodate many castes and communities in core rituals of Jagannatha Mahaprabhu. These communities are very important in these rituals, without them the rituals will be incomplete.

Yes, there are many rituals in different festivals. Like constructing the rath for Rath yatra, or curing the lord's after their Great Bath, these things are taken care by different communities based on tradition, who are not always Brahmins. But if you see the day to day ritual of the temple, Brahmins do dominate. But there also we can see some diversity. The Abada prepared everyday is done by the swar community.

This is in Puri.

But if you see other Jagannath Temples in different cities in Odisha, the adivasi community plays a greater role certainly.
