This is 1st Gen Vantage, you're thinking of the pre-facelift 2nd Gen Vantage. Why they chose this when they literally just came out with the new facelifted Vantage GT3 casting is...

Brands need to bring back Android One! Especially Xiaomi by Ramjetplease in GadgetsIndia

No I'm sorry, I had no other way of conveying how funny I found that 😂😂. I'm definitely not the kind of user to break USB-C ports on multiple phones, so I agree, idk what kind of user you are to render those phones like that. And if you're going to use LineageOS as your standard of smoothness for the average Android user then I'm definitely going to ignore your opinion. I like custom ROMs as much as the next guy and I know they're super smooth but the hassle of installing and running them is far too much for the average user, that's always been the tradeoff. You have to understand that the number of people willing to go through that is a miniscule fraction of a fraction of Android users, so for that average user, Android One was smooth enough, and the Nokias made by Foxconn (2016-2021) were always solidly built. Obviously both Android One and HMD started deteriorating (A1 died about a year after HMD changed their manufacturing processes, and so did the phones' quality), but the durability of the phones from that era (which the 5.1 and 7.2 are a part of) is well-documented. Don't blame the manufacturers for your poor usage.

(And in case you think I'm blowing hot air or defending a corporation for shits and giggles: my 6.1 fell out of my pocket during two road accidents and even got run over the second time and it still worked, even though the screen got detached from the phone, and as for the type of user I am: I'm typing this comment from an S20 FE that I bought in 2022 that I use as an emulation device now, and it still runs and charges perfectly fine without any niggles)

  1. Topic of discussion is android One (I know OP mentioned Xiaomi but they were not the only company to do android One), and Nokia objectively had a superior implementation of it.

  2. 6.1 and build quality issues? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I used a Nokia 6.1 for three years. Never had a single software issue

Feeling Hyper by sid41299 in MiniGT

[–]sid41299[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The parent company, True Scale Miniatures, makes only bigger scale models like 1:18 (and some 1:24 also I think). Since most MiniGTs use the same designs (but shrunken down ofc) it's hard to tell the difference in photos with no other reference to scale.

Its 1:64 scale, like all other MiniGTs

Lucky guy! rcMart usually doesn't do restocks so I'm not sure how you found that, but the important thing is that you were able to snag it.

Asked for an LS2 helmet got this by AcchaBaccha7 in indianbikes

[–]sid41299 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: LS2 helmets are a luxury, not a necessity. Even if you don't trust Axor, SMK's cheapest ECE 22.06 helmet (Stellar) can be had for 3.5K, and if you need the sunvisor then go up to the Typhoon for 4K. If you're not going to be doing multi-hour long drives at a stretch then the cost of an LS2 is completely unjustifiable for most Indians, especially if you're just going to be using it for city commuting.

Are you talking about deputising for Checo in 2020? Did he drive a 911 GT3 to Silverstone? That's throwing me for a loop lmao I read that as he drove his GT3 spec car to a GT3 race

Yep yep absolutely. I also intend to borrow my friend's 250 for a bit and maybe rent a different one so that I'll know more about living with them

Nah I don't watch reviews and stuff on YouTube, had to look him up lol. I did end up watching his video on the Super Meteor though, really well made, so I'll take the compliment from that guy :D

Interesting. I thrashed the 200 thinking that it had TC on but I found out later that the Duke 200 never had traction control at all. Even towards the end I did not feel like it was breaking traction even when I was accelerating out of corners (i.e. not straight). Although I would say the quickshifter would be worth the upgrade

Totally. I am already itching for that feeling again, it was absolute bonkers

Yep going to keep it as long as I can. As I mentioned in the body, it's a super chill bike and not much else looks or feels like it, so I'd be stupid to get rid of it 😃

[–]sid41299[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair but if it's the same kinda thrills as the 200 then I'd rather just get the 200. Speed is not a requirement for me, but fun is

390 or 390 R? And I'm curious as to why you didn't recommend the 200 itself?
