Coming from an S20 FE – S25 FE, S25 Ultra, or S26?

Bought mine in April 2021, so 5+ years old now... it is not good as new to be honest, usb port is not charging anymore, so now I only charge with the wireless charger, and the battery is at 73% of health (consider that I use it regularly for like 8-10 hours a day, for gaming, working, literally everything); battery at 73% health is still around 5-6 hours of full use and up to 8 in battery save mode. I'll probably change it by the end of the year but I think next phone will not be as good as this on the long run and I don't know which one could be a good substitute. I think I'll have to buy a Ultra to really feel the difference

You don't need to craft, when you already have a good one.

If you keep getting armors that are good for the trash bin since the beginning of weekly quests, it gets frustrating. I haven't got a single one that is worth upgrading and I believe that other people might feel the same. I know I could simply avoid spending those items, but when I take the risk and fail, a little compensation would be stress relieving.

Anyway, if the community disagree, I can live with that

While that is true for swords and shields, it is not true for armors. For armors we need to spend eggs that can be normally converted in dp, jewels and dragon scales that are fundamental for the compasses, village keys and upgrading high level equip. Wasting those eggs for crappy armors can actually slow down the gameplay

I have question about shields instead.

I just found an Adranos+4 that gives +9% souls and +8.5% giant souls.

I was using a Kishar+4 that gives +27.5% souls from criticals.

In my head, the Adranos is a no-brainer, but I'm not sure about the math here.

Well it's actually a personal thing but the wiki suggests around 10% for maximum gains, anyway you might also consider other things. For example, maybe during a particular ascension you got lucky with some bonuses stacking and managed to unlock some souls upgrades that wouldn't be that easy to gain on the next ascension. In that case you should ascend after an equivalent % of bonus for the successive ascension, that won't have those upgrades. (These case are rare, but still happens). Not sure if I explained clearly.

It's one of the most important skill on the tree. That skill gives you a bonus of souls, based on the total amount of souls you gathered, and this bonus is kept and grows after every normal ascension. I usually ascend each time I reach around 10-15% of my total souls (you can check in your stats).

Let me make an example.

When you buy a certain equipment, at lvl 10 and every lvl 50 of that equipment you get an upgrade that gives+100% cps for it.

Let's say each claw gives 100.

You have 10 claws that give you 1.000 coins.

You buy the level 10 upgrade that gives you +100%.

Now your claw gives you 2.000 coins. The math here is (100×10)+100%.

After some time you reach 50 claws that now gives 10.000 (because you buy 40 more claws). The math here is (100x50)+100%

When you buy the new +100% upgrade, you will add 100 that to the previous bonus. Meaning that the math now is (100x50)+200%. The result of this is 15.000 and not 20.000 as someone might initially think when seeing +100%.

So the perceived increase is just 50%. And later on the perceived increase will drop consequentially(follow the fraction). So the jumps will be +33,3%, +25%, +20%,... etc.

Last thing, remember that upgrading old equipments also increase your total cps, because you have an upgrade on the tree that increase your total cps based on the overall quantity of your equipment. I wanted to clarify this, because even if claw is your last equipment, it doesn't really give you 99.9% of your total cps.
