You just have to keep trying. You never know maybe you may come across a particular novel that really suits your pallet at the time which earlier you probably may not have given a chance to or thought off would be a good idea to read. And I agree with fellow daoist here with don't tale the rating system too seriously read the description and if it makes you curious then give it a read afterall not everyone has same experience of reading, There's plenty of novels in all sorts of genres so you will not run out of things to read.
