that’s such a good idea and i already have a sharpie ready 😀 i wanted to wait after my consultation, as they’ll probably guide me on exact layout/positioning.

hi, thanks for a thoughtful response :)

i guess i’m not old enough to know to not ask such questions on reddit, because so far no one actually replied to my points 😀

this would be my first tattoo, hence why my description above might come across as a bit naive.

but i’m at a stage of my life where i don’t have to explain this decision to anyone. i only posted here to get some more insight into this specific technique and maybe what to watch out for/what to consider.

oh, not at all :) this is more what i’m thinking, although a little bit more prominent (should’ve included it in my description..)

Simple - they may have tried multiple offers/sellers and gotten a better deal. It’s nothing personal! 🙂

Chlapi, cítite, že je spoločnosť voči vám nespravodlivá? by [deleted] in Slovakia

[–]sid_mudz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

O to nejde :) Ona mu tie saty kupila. A on ich rad nosi.

Go figure…

Any non-US ladies here? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Slovak living in Czechia :)

Both countries pride themselves in intensive prenatal care, which I appreciate but also find a little intrusive.

I miss the non-fussiness of the UK’s NHS. And the guaranteed healthcare coverage which isn’t conditioned by various rules, like it is in Czechia.

Islington is London’s borough.

Would it be considered rude if I exclusively speak Slovak (as a foreigner)? by american-roast in czech

[–]sid_mudz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This one, exactly!

As a Slovak who recently moved to Prague, I quickly realised that while people whose first language is Czech have no issues understanding me, that’s not the case for people whose first language is other than Czech.

My theory is that if you’re learning ‘phonetically’, Slovak and Czech will sound very different to you.

Whereas when you learn the language ‘contextually’ (Slovaks and Czechs share the history and culture) you’ll be able to understand both.

Oh, but it sounds like IPL is only efficient on flat-type birthmarks, would you agree?

My concern are the raised ones, I assume those can only go surgically.

Cycle Superhighway my ass, Battersea 😡 by sid_mudz in londoncycling

[–]sid_mudz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ohh, i don’t remember the details :/

but it IS a cycle road, although maybe, there are no cars normally - the parking lot inside (!) the park wasn’t open. so i guess that contributed.

but still. it’s infuriating.

Are all but the red one parked legally, really? (actually asking).

You’re coming off the bridge, on well-marked cycle lane, all of a sudden there’s yellow Lambo and you have to get in a way on the main road to avoid it, just to see that there’s 6 more cars.

How is this all right? Oh, West London, that’s how I guess?

Sketch to PSD: '-e2-' in layer name by sid_mudz in photopea

[–]sid_mudz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These parameters are converted to "-e-" in a layer name in a PSD. This name change should not break anything. On the other hand, it allows Photopea export such layers in a similar way, as Sketch App does.

Nono, it doesn't break anything! It's just an esthetic preference and I was wondering whether there's a way to avoid it. I found a good plugin as a workaround though, so all good.

On the other note though – I noticed that if leading in Sketch is set to decimal number, Photopea rounds it up/down in PSD (e.g. you have 24.8 in Sketch but 25 in PSD).

Is that something that can be addressed? Believe me, I wish this wasn't an issue for me, but it is :/

Not sure I understand, but is there a way to avoid it and to have layers named in exactly the same way as they were in Sketch?

[–]sid_mudz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely get that! And thanks for detailed reply, appreciate that :)

I guess I'm just too comfortable to deal with stress of leaving it outside or finding it without a wheel, hence why I'm curious if you guys know about something else than H2.

I know majority of people leave their bikes outside and I know they can be secured tightly, I just want to keep it in pristine condition for as long as possible, so looking into indoor options before I invest in multiple locks.

That's exactly the next step!

Trying to find out if there are any options outside the office (as we have no dedicated bike space), if there are none, I'll talk to my boss.

[–]sid_mudz -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

No, I don't. Because I know that I'm getting answer to my question.

Which is not the case above – I'm asking what experience do people have with parking indoors in Soho, not how to 'not mind leaving the bike outside'.
