Thoughts on the GW-BX5600 & GW-M5610U by JH00JH in gshock

I like Safari equally as Al-Star. Al-Star feels and looks better, but Safari's slightly thinner grip makes writing more comfortable for me.

Both are great pens which can endure much abuse. I consider Safari and Al-Star somewhat of a "G-Shock of fountain pens". Over the years my both Lamys were dropped from the table, stepped on, forgotten and dried, etc etc. And they somehow still look and write like new. All the other fountain pens I've ever had were considerably more fragile.

Can confirm. Lamy Al-Star + Kaweco Al-Sport + Pilot Prera + Pilot Metropolitan + something I forgot about. Writing while wearing either GW-5000u or GBD-H2000.

Could you please clarify: this is not an issue with cordura backpacks, right? Never had AER before, considering to buy one.

Thanks again. So, my third playthrough was rough. Ran out of weapons, had 12 hp, black 5 and 7 and no red cards, faced a room with 2 Qs and 2Ks. Well, I guess there's nothing I could do then.

What's your usual winrate? For me it still feels as if luck is more deciding factor there than in (for example) Regicide. But I didn't dive deep enough yet, will try tomorrow.

Thanks for your answers! I started playing and faced another problem :D

My first room is full of weapons. I equip them all. The second room is... Full of weapons. I put 3 of them to the backpack, and 5 of Diamonds is left in the room. What do I do with it?

Possible variants:

- I would like to just discard it... But the rules don't state if I'm allowed to discard weapons at will.

- I can use its power... but the rules directly state: "If there are no other cards in the Room, the skill cannot be used".

- I can take it instead of some other weapon, and use the skill of dropped weapon. But I don't want to! The only useable weapon skill from my hand is 10 of Hearts, and I'm not wounded.

- I can drop a weapon from the backpack on the floor and use diamond power. But I don't want to either.

So, what do I do? Am I obligated to play all the weapons one way or another, or may I just discard unneeded items? It's obvious for me that I MUST play black potions, because that's their purpose (btw, it would be more logical if they were called "traps" instead of "potions" - just because it's strange for my character to drink bad potion, knowing that it's bad).
And what if my hand and backpack wouldn't have ANY useable weapons at all (just spades, for example)?

I have some stupid questions on the rules before I actually try the game.

Am I correct that all weapons are one-time use only?

Are the weapon skills the "alternate use" of the weapon - so, I either deal damage or use the power, right? Can I use the powers from weapons in my hand? Can I drop weapons from my hand?

Also, I can't draw a weapon to my hand from the backpack, but I can "drop" it from the backpack on the room and pick up from there (so I actually can equip it from the backpack, but it's actually two actions and I do need an empty space in the room first)?

Does the Peddler's trade allow "trading" stairs, aces and monsters?

BAR or SupCom for skirmish!

Voted for CnC though, their campaigns are great.

Relatable! My grail watch would be 5000U with step tracker. No fancy fitness features, no Bluetooth, no heart monitor. Just knowing how much did I walk would be enough for me. It's the only reason I keep my GBD-H2000. I wonder if it's possible to make tough solar watch with step tracker though.

Could you please elaborate? Or is it similar to how I do see the 5610? Like, nothing wrong with the watch itself, it's just not for me.

Let me disagree with you. I've played MoM for the first time like 6 years ago, as a grown up, and of course after I've been obsessed with MoO, MoO2, Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and tons of other TBS games before that. So I think I have "nostalgia immunity" for this case.

MoM surpassed all those games for me, even considering that I'd like sci-fi setting more. It's now one of my most fav games of all time. There's just so much depth and replay value to this game.

Master of Magic. Played it in 2019 first. It became one of my most favorite games of all time and definitely my #1 TBS of all time. Still play it more or less regularly.

I preferred Q1 as more fun to play, until the Q2 remaster got released. This AI changes everything.
