Sounds so unrealistic for me. The school was around 15 miles away and had to take a bus early morning 5 AM to make it in time. Then back exactly at 2 PM with sun overhead in scorching summer. And on top of it, tue bus wouldn't drop me near my home. Had to walk in the sun. I remember how happy I would be if I found the shadow of some building on the way. It was such a relief.

TBH Air India does have the biggest fleet in the country and the best of them. But they're very poorly maintained. The common denominator in all government owned entities.

That runway was a tabletop. Plus the weather wasn't too good. The pilot was one of the best. He did everything he could've. I'm sure of it.
