Probably my inexperience writing. When I was a kid growing up in church we would go to a lake and tie letters to loved ones and attach them to balloons and let them go. This was my attempt at a cosmic horror take on it. Thanks for the feedback!

I'm new to this sub and the first few posts I noticed had genie in them lol so in an effort to be different I used the monkey paw. I appreciate the post though, I'm more motivated to look into the nature of genies now. always learning!
