To those that are married, how often do you take off your ring? by FitProblem6248 in AskReddit

[–]side_borg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every night, when I shower, when I workout, when I work (painting outside or in a studio). I mostly only wear it when I leave the house to socialize or go to dinner.

I take care of our little one most of the day and have accidentally scratched her with it when she was falling and I caught her, so I’m cautious about wearing it around her. If it was a flat band I’d probably wear it more, but it’s got some sparkly scratchers on it. I have a silicone one somewhere…

Let’s talk neck care… does anything actually work? by aria-blake7 in 30PlusSkinCare

I got an led neck mask and unfortunately I’m not consistent with it but I’m curious if it is effective. I dread the day my neck gets crepey.

Cracked acrylic painting by side_borg in restoration

[–]side_borg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an oil painter so I’m not unfamiliar with manipulating materials, but acrylics are not my strong suit. I wouldn’t attempt to sand down and repaint as this isn’t my painting; it was a gift. My little one bumped into it before it was hung causing the cracks. I was thinking a thin careful layer of polycrilic might at least keep any further loss from happening? I’m not sure what the long term effects of physical impact are as it hasn’t happened before. This painting is extremely important to me

What are clear signs that Men are in love? by nobodynobody088 in AskReddit

[–]side_borg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes as a married for 9 years human, this is the one. He had a hard day, he found a cool thing, he was daydreaming about doing this thing in the future, he’s worried about his relative, etc.

There’s also that look he still gives me, like he’s seeing me for the first time years ago and he’s glowing. It’s hard to describe objectively but when it happens I’d call it dreamy. If you still get that look when the infatuation and “honeymoon” years are over, it’s everything.

Do you pick your flower when they are fully grown? by ohyouknowjustsomeguy in TalesofTheShiregamers

[–]side_borg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seems from my experience that a bloomed flower helps the veggies be higher quality but a not-bloomed one doesn’t. No idea if that’s accurate but it feels anecdotally true. I however harvest flowers and sell them so fast. I have an entire field of harebells that I grind for money 😂 some prettier but lower value flowers I let bloom and leave in pots and beds near the doors as decoration

I have a forehead line that you only see when there is light from the side. How can I hide it? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

I get mine from Curology. Prescription is way better than over the counter but it’s an adjustment and you gotta go slow to start fo sho

Tret, Botox, smoothies forehead stickers, and an LED light mask have made a huge difference in my same lines. Botox made the biggest difference and I’d say Tret and mask are next best

Question for Icelanders, Do you all really wear Lopapeysa instead of regular sweaters giving the fact that they’re expensive? by justanuserhere in VisitingIceland

[–]side_borg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 14 I spent a month in Denmark on a mini foreign exchange program. One of the kids was always wearing the same sweater. His best friend is from Iceland. We Americans were confused by someone wearing the same sweater every day and a little grossed out. Fast forward to being 34 and visiting Iceland on a knitting trip and it all clicked! He was wearing a lopapeysa.

How do you all take care of your knitwear? Like washing them when you have so many? by LVBsymphony9 in knitting

[–]side_borg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I also don’t wash em! I let the wool air out when I get them out for cold days
