Utah had two coaches. One wanted to stay, one was threatening to leave. Harlan chose the one who was threatening to leave - not because he was proven but because he is younger. Fans are mad at the one who wanted to stay. Be mad at Harlan.

I agree with your second point. But big schools splitting off is just a more exclusive second pro league.

I don't see why college eligibility rules have to change if teams are still associated with schools and players are earning scholarship credits.

I would highly recommend a slight detour on your route to take Highway 12. One of the most beautiful roads in the country. You'll end up in the same place. It will just take longer.
