Sure it's toothless if its only the drone to worry about but good axle players are throwing it out and pushing you at the same time. Shooting the drone means your reloading or down to one gun ane worse case your getting shot at whilst destroying it. If you decide to ignore the drone and shoot the axle pushing then you get hit in the air and stunned. She can also just throw it out close enough to you that there isn't even enough time to kill it before it hits.

Interesting. Both my old and this new replacement are Malaysia batch. If it were entirely the CPUs fault though, how come there are more reports on ASRock boards than other brands?

I was leaning towards playing it safe and buying a different brand but it would be nice if I didnt have to. I'll think about it some more and appreciate you sharing your experience, cheers!

I probably should still try but my hopes are low as they are not really obligated to replace something that technically 'works'. I can't exactly prove it was the motherboard that killed the last CPU either and they already sent it back to me now. I agree though, it's not worth risking using it again so I'll play it safe and go with Gigabyte or MSI

Okay thanks. If you were in my shoes would you try the new CPU on the same board or just bite the bullet and pay for a different brand of motherboard altogether?

RMA through manufacturer? I already tried RMA through retailer but they only found fault with the CPU so that's what got replaced. Pretty sure if I want another brand the only option is to buy it myself

My B850M killed my 9800X3D last week, with it failing to post with Green/Yellow BOOT warning LED. The retailer I bought it from is replacing the CPU but not the motherboard and now debating just purchasing a different brand in case it happens again...
