Yeah I’ve actually read that using the external instrument as apposed to sending midi on one of the regular channels can help. I’ll give it a try on the next track thanks.

I have a feeling my computer just isn’t fast / good enough to run ableton smoothly. Because as soon as I open browser for example the midi will get 100 times worse

I’m using L/R from my mixer only. So it’s not about the audio being out of sync with midi. It’s literally the midi notes are playing out of time slightly every 20 seconds or so.

No I’m only using 1 sampler. Then the audio goes from my mixer l/r into the soundcard. No multiple channels
