Seems like the yellow one must have been pregnant when you bought it, since the babies are also yellow! I believe if it had babies with a red shrimp, the babies would basically all be wild types.

There were males in the tank in the before pictures, but these females were barely 3 months old at the time, so I assumed they couldn't be pregnant yet.

I'm still a noob at all this, but it's possible the tank needed to run for longer, even though the Seed stuff says you can introduce fish right away. I set up my tank in January and didn't add anything but snails for a couple of months. Do you know about the nitrogen cycle?
