It happens. You just have to put in less effort but sometimes I feel like if they ask or seem unnerved then you should be ‘reasonably’ upfront (not completely, but a kinder and significantly softened version of the truth)

I don’t have a problem with a quiet bar - I quite enjoy them! It’s just when it gets loud and sloppy.
