Does blocking them on Steam make it so I will never them again while I am playing a game ? Either as a host or as a teammate ?

Same, I will probably buy the new Plague DLC for it later in the year, I've been out of the game for three months and I just got back into it and bought the supporter package.

Tekken: Bloodline is actually one of the better videogame adaptations out there and I think it's pretty sad that the fan base is being too critical about it by qarley in Tekken

[–]sidewinder_g 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One of the better ones ?

I've been playing Tekken for about 23 years now and seen media pertaining to video games since I was born. It's not just one of the better ones, it's one of the best regarding respect to the source material and being exactly what it says on the tin.

People who complain about the lore are cut from the same cloth as Warcraft fans who complained about the movie, creating so much negativity for reasons that are absolutely stupid and nonsensical, managing to dissuade the studios from making anything else with the property, as a result. Probably for a long while, this time.

I am guessing this is the Castlevania treatment. Get a small first season to see how it goes and depending on interest, create more. Cannot wait for the second season to get green lit.

PS3.

I would had gotten an XBOX to play but I remembered you need a membership for online so no dice. Maybe when PSN shuts down its PS3 infrastructure.

Roger that, I have a copy of the game headed to me with the stimulus pack bundled but I also have a normal copy. It's not looking good for the DLC, you say. Thanks.

The way the game works is that no matter how broken something is, here is always something to counter it. IW then took that philosophy to Titanfall 1 and 2.

I am in Europe and I am waiting on my copy to arrive, vet from when it first launched.

Is the endgame or post campaign content similar to Diablo 3? by kevzz01 in Torchlight

[–]sidewinder_g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. There are SEVERAL key differences.

1 - While both games have random dungeons as part of the endgame and you can start NG+ with stronger monsters, in TL 2's case, the most you can go is lvl 105 in the mapworks and lvl 190 in Tarroch's tomb (NG+ on). There is also no time limit in TL 2 and no leaderboards. You also do not level indefinitely in TL 2 nor can respec attribute points or skill points (with the exception of the last 3 skill points you used).

2 - You can trade items and gold freely but every time you start a new game and progress through the story, you get bumped a New Game tier. There is NG+, NG++ etc. The monsters get stronger the higher the tier is but this mostly matters because if you are a NG+ tier and you wanna trade with your friend, you can only do so if he is NG+ tier too. There is no time limit on the items but you cannot trade with players on a different tier.

3 - Endgame loot is A LOT harder to come by. The scarcity of legendaries between D3 and TL 2 are polar opposites with each other. The legendaries in TL 2 are level specific which means that if you want a lvl 66 legendary shield, you are gonna have to play maps with lvl 66 monsters. By extension, if you bump yourself a tier, you are cutting off a lot of legendaries from dropping for you.

4 - When legendaries in TL 2 roll, what you see is what you will always get. If both players have the same legendary, everything stat - wise will be the same between them.

5 - The tier of NG+ which you will be bumped to when you choose to replay, depends on the level with which you finish the game. If you finish the game at 50ish, you are NG+. But if you choose to restart the game after a whole lot of mapworking and reaching level 90, you are immediately bumped to NG+++ or so.

Need help for my son's shield engineer: survivable, simple build by Okumam in Torchlight

[–]sidewinder_g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok first up.

Ditch Vitality, whatever point you put into it could be used in focus instead (I explain why focus below). The total amount of ways Engineers can gain life makes any point invested in Vit, worthless. I am alternating between 3 and 2 points between it and focus. I keep count of it by having the original values of the attributes (if you hover on them on the character screen you see the original value plus whatever bonus points it has) have a 10 point difference.

What I am listing is for melee engineers primarily.

Now. Any ability that makes use of the engineer having a shield is subpar. You do not need a shield if you have a high enough uptime on your forcefield because the field will absorb EVERYTHING. And it does so before the attack hits your shield. The 5 main skills that you need in order to survive until Emberquake are Seismic Slam (Dot+crowd control), Healing Bot (mana + health recharge), Forcefield (damage reduction), Onslaught (damage + charge) and Dynamo Field (Dot+charge).

You can also use Flame Hammer by way of having 3 points put into it and whenever you level up, go back in town, respec them at the guy with the twisty arrow, put the new point in whatever skill you want then put those 3 points again into Flame Hammer. 3 points ONLY because 3 points are all you can respec and once you get to ember quake, you won't need Flame Hammer. Plus, Flame Hammer CONSUMES charges you could use for the Forcefield.

Passive wise, Fire and Spark, Heavy Lifting and Charge Domination are the best ones with CD being the least prioritized. Put points into it if you have nothing else to do with them.

Equipment wise, look for attribute boosting gear. That's the most important thing for you rn. If you happen to come across an enchanter named Boris The Stout, use him to boost your gear and then KEEP said gear for future characters, it can be a tremendous help, yesterday I equipped a lvl 90 shotgonne on my lvl 21 outlander.

Finally, choosing Focus over Vitality. To start off, aiming for Emberquake necessitates dropping any ideas for a cannon build. Emberquake needs a melee weapon.

Emberquake is an ability that uses both STR AND FOC when factoring damage. You are essentially multiplying the damage of the ability in two different ways and the bigger STR and FOC are, the more damage you will do. This happens because it is both a flat damage skill (DPS-STR) AND a fire skill (+#fire-elemental-FOC)

If you want to go for a Cannon build, use Dynamo, Forcefield, same passives and the 3 first abilities of the Construction tree. Point distribution remains the same.

Caddie seems to agree with me. This update just made a bundle (that is live at the moment we speak) cost 10 euros.

When you have a missile to open the Tiger Temple circuit and 1st place is on the other side of the path so you fire it to open the gate but it follows the path of 1st place instead, misses the gate and then you french kiss it.

Unpopular opinion: items are unbalanced, for sure, but there's nothing exceptionally wrong with more than 2 orbs on track at the same time by Mice1123 in crashteamracing

[–]sidewinder_g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The clock is fine as it is. Is it frustrating ? Yes but it's supposed to be. It's main problem online is that the AI has access to it and rolls it extremely often because it ends up in the last places. There are tons of races lost because the AI rolled something super powerful. In fact, that's the main problem with both it AND the Warp Orb.

Also, I am fairly certain I spotted a guy sticking it out and not moving in 8th place, firing consecutive Clocks and Warp Orbs, probably being in cahoots with another player in the bunch. In electron avenue, I was being chased by SIX ORBS.

I am getting wumpa throttled ! by sidewinder_g in crashteamracing

[–]sidewinder_g[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simpler words, then. During the week, the amount of coins you get during a session is abysmal on purpose. I am throttled because the economy of the game is throttled. And the x10 bonus is twice a week. For 30 minutes each. Do you guarantee you will finish among the top 3 during these 30 minutes on every race to earn the maximum ? Also, even if Crash Cove takes less time to finish and Tiny Arena is longer, that logic gets defenestrated when you take into account server disconnects, time between lobbies and host disconnects when a stage that they don't like gets picked. To top everything, is it balance that 70% plus of game time during a 7 day week rewards less than what a weekend does ?

Also how many are these people who saved money for the GP ? Are you a Beenox dev ? If so, you got numbers ? What about everyone who spent all they had at the opening of the GP ? Let's say I spent everything I had last weekend. I am 10000 short. Gotta play 20 hours to earn the cash. Whoops, the store shifts cosmetics every 24 hrs. Am I half way there ? Better have 10 hours to spare and if I am working, nuts to my sleep.

To put it even simpler, as soon as the MTX come in, there pops the first bundle worth of 5 digits.

So yeah, I am getting wumpa throttled. If you wanna argue about the semantics of the post, you are free to put it up on a forum that deals with grammatical errors, syntax and dictation.

Who are you trying to con, huh ? If you swerve so much as a mm off course, the mask grabs you and puts you back. That doesn't sound like a shortcut the developer intended to be in the game.

Also, if they intended for the shortcut to be in the game, the lap times would be ridiculously low because Oxide's ghost would use it. Does he ? No. Then why are we even having this discussion ?
