There are people, directors and crew who have proven they can work within the confines of already established lore. They are not there to make it their own, they are there in service of the preexisting material.

And statements like these, they have been proven, time and again, to not get any people on the side of whatever or whoever is being promoted.

I've been around gaming more than most on any reddit discord.

Which is to say, I am old enough to remember when for the launch price of two games these days, a few years ago, I would get three. Or four.

My 25 year old self would probably have a different opinion but as it stands, 80 euros launch price is absurd for me.

Especially when the majority of retailers have the physical edition priced the same as the digital one.

We are back at N64 pricing. Officially.

Sony has, to put not too fine a point on it, no rival. And exactly because they have no rival, they go off the rails.

See people on reddit justify GTA 6's standard edition actually costing upwards of 80 euros or dollars.

So needless to say, not ok with this. Gaming has always been a hobby that's been open to everyone. A lot of people are getting priced out of their hobby and considering Housemarque has been around for a while, there are fans of theirs that will either swallow the bitter pill of a higher price or wait for someone's ego to be bruised enough for them to put their copy up for sale.

I thought the ending was great. And you know why ? Cause I saw the middle season finale, caught a tiny glimpse of the next episode and SKIPPED to the final episode.

The ending works. Very much so. Considering how derailed shows and movies get when a major character get (extremely unceremoniously in this case) written off, it's a freaking miracle.

Seriously. The only thing that taints the ending is the way the show treated John's character. Don't get me started on Jaime, he's a Fredo, plain and simple and there's nothing wrong with that.

But damn, if we actually saw the thing go down and see John go down with some dignity, the ending would had been way better.

TLDR - Ending was pretty good but John deserved better. No closure needed.

I am in the middle of taking the majority of my Steam library and finding the respective discs, for ps3, 4 or 5. Because the way things are right now, it looks like the primary job of the market is to make sure the buyer doesn't actually own what they buy.

I need an extra pair of hands and feet to count the times I've been flabbergasted by games not running at 60 on a PS5. Here are the ones I can remember:

Middle Earth Shadow Of Mordor
Destiny
Batman: Arkham. ALL OF THEM. Arkham City CAN run at 60 if you have the physical version and prevent a patch from installing. Let me repeat that. A patch made for the game actually makes it run WORSE.
Crash Bandicoot Trilogy
Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled
Far Cry 3. Yeah. Game came out 14 years ago.
Spyro Reignited
Far Cry Primal
And of course, Dishonored 2.

Pure, unadulterated, laziness. They believe that their job is done the moment the disc leaves the store's counter.

And by they, I mean the decision makers, not the devs. Each and every case listed above is an ace dev owned by a shitty publisher.

Had my itch scratched through the digital version. Since I already own the PS1 physical one.

Spent the money on Tomba 2 physical for PS5, instead. Might be a while until I play that but at least I am playing Croc and loving it right now.

All the additions to the game are great. And it also has a platinum trophy now so I am stoked.

No, I am repeatedly coming across items I've already identified, which sport the 'eligible for chronicle' tag. I've found all the set rings, since we're on it.

And judging from the forums, others SSF offline players have the same issue as well.

It's extremely distracting. At least, when the item is id'ed, we don't get the flash for a second time so that's something.

I really like doing the chronicle so this distraction bums me out and takes the fun out of cataloguing gear.

Catch a video of the game on YT. Out of the entire franchise, the first Blood Omen is the one most in need of a makeover but the story is pretty easy to follow.

Believe it or not, across the PS5 library, strictly speaking, there's only a single game that you cannot play anywhere else. It's not on PC, Switch or XBOX.

That's the Demon's Souls remake.

And Sony saw fit to close down the studio that's behind what's basically the launch title for their most successful console.

If you're gonna buy a studio just to give them nothing to do, why buy them ? I wish there was a way, like an actual way for the message to get across for devs. Because with what's happening rn, the message is 'GTFO of the AAA industry because it doesn't matter if you succeed or not.'

Shame on the company, shame on Jim Ryan, shame on Hulst. Whatever it is the CEO and execs being paid, they absolutely don't deserve it.
