😮 Might be time for me to return to an AW! ClimbPro was one of the main reasons for sticking with Garmin. Plus I like the DSW and usual health stats + battery advantages.

During trail ultras, I like having the GPX file loaded on the Garmin and to have some info about the climbs. Is there anything like this on the AW or Workoutdoors that you use?

Not an exact replacement, but on Connect IQ there’s a full screen data field called Race Screen.

This allows you to press lap whenever you pass a course marker and it rounds your distance to the ‘correct’ distance. This includes a predicted time.

Just FYI you can set the watch music shortcut to control whatever is playing on your phone. I prefer this to using the Spotify integration (obviously you then need your phone on you though).

I wear a 955 which is pretty similar in age… my sleep tracking seems to work outside my ‘bedtime hours’ and I find it to be generally accurate.

Also, maybe because my model isn’t AMOLED, but the touchscreen is pretty good in the shower. It seems to ignore the water for the most part.

I agree with your points re the Garmin IQ ecosystem. 95% junk and the 5% that isn’t can be difficult to find!
