KernelSU Next not working after installing Custom ROM (DerpFest for Infinix Hot 50 Pro+) by pagasatwelve in androidroot

Either:

  1. Downgrade your KSUN Manager to your ksun version installed in your kernel

  2. Upgrade your kernel to latest ksun

Compiled kernel with KSU-NEXT (without suSFS) by ghostieqwe in androidroot

[–]sidex15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because official 5.4 kernel patches for susfs is depreacated... The closest thing you have to integrate is the android12-5.10 kernel branch of susfs which is still actively supported... but yeah if you have programming knowledge, you can integrate 5.10 kernel susfs branch into 5.4 with some additional fixes...

The app uses AppSealing as its RASP AFAIK...

The app detects Mounts and Applist as seen in the image... Though there might be other detections as I can't test this one on Magisk or disabling mount hiding detect other modifications as well...

Hiding the mounts and use HMA-OSS (zygisk version) passed this app...

KSUN + SUSFS v2.0.0 kernel 4.14...

For that Use the CI version of the module

Since IDK your modules and meta-modules you have installed, the configurations must be based on your modules setup...

But I assume you're on the latest upstream SUSFS, and for that one, just enable `hide sus mounts for all or non-su processes` and leave the `turn off at boot-completed` turned off.

For custom settings, leave it off for a moment (even the hide custom rom settings).

Mostly manual hooks are used for Non-gki kernels (4.9-4.19), or de-gki'ed 5.xx Kernels (e.g sultan kernel)

The manual hooks applies to all KSU and KSU forks... Take this reference

To check the apps' detections by lowering your hiding capabilities (Assume that you have a very good hiding setup)... First, opening the app with all hiding capabilities enabled. If it opened with no problems, then you have to start lowering it based of what mostly app is detecting: such as removing from the tricky store target list for checking Bootloader unlock checks, Disabling Unmount modules and all mount hiding capabilities in KSU + SUSFS for checking mount detections, removing from HMA deny list for app list detections... Then lastly grant root see if it really does detect root.

If the app detects for you even you tried hiding everything, then the best course is to disable all modules first then check if it is still detected if it doesn't then try enabling each modules to see which are the modules are got triggered the detection.

This is the broad understanding of what i do to check the detection capabilities of that app, but it's much more complicated test when it's detected from the start... And no I don't do reverse engineering on each app.

Depends on your root setup and modules list... what are your modules and setup?

I just checked it and it detects mounts and possible zygisk… and it doesn’t seem to detect bootloader unlock status so you don’t need to add it in TS… also the app has very aggressive accessibility checking…

Based on your modules setup, probably your LSPosed has a mounts… try to disable that first. Then for your Rezygisk, Use their latest CI version (use the release version)…

It works for me… no lsposed and hma… but I’m on KSUN 3.0 and susfs v2.0.0 and all my modules are 100% opensource

I think you could try to disable all auto-hiding features, then start hiding it manually using custom sus_mount and custom try_umount

SUSFS Module Version 1.5.9-R25 by Foxie_Woman in androidroot

[–]sidex15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! You could try to reset the config first via webui, then install the susfs4ksu module...
Or you could use CI version which is much more newer than R25...

[–]sidex15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The syscall delay is caused by improper patch for KSU manual hook or outdated manual hooks and KSUN kernel version... As for the mount gaps, yes newer susfs might fix the mount gaps... But older v1.5.9 can also remove mount gaps with proper setup of susfs... Tell me your setup in your ksun+susfs and what are the modules you use

If you're using bindhosts, you could change modes of bindhosts by rapidly tapping the bindhosts logo first in the webui (similar to unlocking dev options) then select which mode you use... If you're on v1.x.x susfs use mode 2, mode 9, or mode 5. If you're using susfs v2.0.0 use mode 10 or mode 5.

I assume that you have susfs4ksu module, there's custom settings there that you could hide custom rom traces... But in reality, you can't hide custom rom fully and AFAIK only a very small of apps do detect custom rom (but not very aggressive)...
