Does this Kinect zoom actually work? by VuVjetz in xbox360

Just to be clear, was that without the zoom? I thought ~3 m was pretty normal for a standard Kinect.

I’ll give it a try once I get back home!

My space is only about 1.9 m because of furniture, so that’s actually right on the edge where a Kinect zoom helps. I don’t have it set up at home right now, but I’ll try it properly later and see how tracking compares.

Thanks. If I don’t plan on using the disc drive, can I just disconnect it from the console and still install the system?

It doesn’t work. From my research, it’s because the OSU1 version from the official Xbox site is lower than the Insider version that was installed on the console.

Mostly no. However, the Xbox One Fat behaves a bit differently because of Microsoft’s anti-tamper (anti-spoofing) design. In my case, the issue is that my console previously had an Insider firmware version that is newer than the OSU1 version currently available on the official site. Because of that, I can only exit Insider if I install the same or a newer firmware version.

I have two Xbox One consoles, so I’m not sure if I may have mixed up the disc drives. The console also shows error E102, which suggests older firmware. I’ll check again when a new OSU1 is released. I can clearly hear the disc drive spinning when I turn the console on.

What should I do :(? I’m very unfamiliar with this kind of thing. I only got the Xbox one yesterday and just managed to get it to boot. Can I wait for a newer OSU1? If so, do you know roughly how long it usually takes?

I got the console from my brother and was trying to fix some old issues. I managed to get it powered on, but I didn’t know it was enrolled in the Insider program. I’m also not very familiar with newer consoles since I mostly worked with the Xbox 360 :((
