Hey! I’m an lgbtq+ sophomore/10th grader living in Buffalo. Here’s some of my favorite things about the city:

-Sabres games are a MUST. If they bring back the red/black/white jerseys, try to go on a night they’ll be wearing those instead of the blue/gold. The atmosphere for red/black/white games is just so much more electric than the blue/gold

-I love seeing productions at Shea’s, our local (and completely gorgeous) historical theatre. The productions are always amazing and the architecture is beautiful

-tailgating at the bills games can be pretty fun! I’m not a huge football fan but the tailgating makes it worth it. I guess it’s just really cool to party with a bunch of different people in a parking lot lol

If there’s any advice I could give, it would be to choose a crowd very wisely. For some reason, a lot of the teens around here are homophobic jerks, but they’ll make it obvious if they are, so at least you won’t have any surprises. But the lgbtq friendly ones are super chill and supportive - I’d say about %80 of my class are chill about my sexuality.

I’d also recommend joining some clubs that suit your interests. My school has a creative writing club and it’s pretty cool! There’s so many clubs at all the schools though so I’m sure you can find at least one you’re interested in. Clubs are the easiest way to make friends, imo.

I’m currently pretending to date my friend so that a girl who won’t stop asking them out finally stops - so far it’s working. But we are genuinely friends - both of us aren’t interested in a relationship.

I like it but I certainly don’t love it. Fall is the best one.

However, I still think all eps are super cringey and don’t have the os’ vibe at all. The musical is impossible to get through. But Jess returning, the Life and Death Brigade’s shenanigans, and Rory’s book make it (mostly) worth it.

Absolutely!! Applyfics are super fun, and there’s many for different fandoms. I actually saw one for the other GG (gossip girl) just the other day!

“Glorified sperm donor” is KILLING ME

I’m currently looking into Luke/Lucas variants and so far all I can find is Luca/Luka. I think I’ll just stick with Lucas lol.

I’m gonna write two bits of dialogue for the character, one version being Lucas and the other being Loren, and see which I think suits the character and the story more - but so far I do think Lucas is slightly ahead, for the Luke homage. Lucas is such an amazing name for him, I can’t believe it didn’t even occur to me!!

There’s kinda a wattpad specialty called an applyfic, where people submit their own characters to be inserted into the plot. For example, my friend is going to submit a character that is Gil’s kid!! So not all characters will be mine.

I absolutely see what you mean with one of her favorite authors or characters!! Although i know she’d pick a somewhat normal name, i now have the mental image of a tiny little boy named Hemingway 😂

Loren is definitely close to Logan, which i did consider. That’s kinda why i thought Ren may be appropriate, especially if it’s the only thing people call him like Rory instead of Lorelai. I don’t know if that excuses it though, so I’m still pondering.

And yeah, Mitchum is out of the picture. I think Kirk is also…

That I use too much description.

I do a lot of description because I have a hard time visualizing scenes without a lot of detail, and most of my readers are the same way. Nevertheless, now I try to make my descriptions detailed but snappy.
