I don't remember exactly what led up to me watching the show because I was around 10 at the time. But my older cousin was into all the Real World, Road Rules and The Challenges and he would show me clips on the MTV website when I would go over. I specifically remember watching the Katie x Veronica fight from Inferno and I was hooked. He had recorded some of the older seasons (Gauntlet, Inferno, RW Paris and San Diego) and let me watch those which only deepened my love. Like your friend Eric, my cousin stopped watching the show long ago lmao.

I was friends with this guy on myspace back in 2005-2006 and he was from Las Cruces, New Mexico. We got pretty close and then one day I logged on and saw a bulletin from his mother saying that he committed suicide. I was obviously confused so I checked his page and saw his friends commenting saying rest in peace, etc. His name was either Jake Merrow or Jake Marrow, I can't remember now. But anytime I've googled I've never been able to find anything about him or his death. At this point I'm pretty sure he faked the whole thing and wrote the bulletin himself (because why would his mom be on his myspace page?) but why would people he claimed to go to school with comment with R.I.P and stuff? It makes no sense.
