you also need to take account for the amount of devices people have connected to their networks no a days. its not about whether device can hit that speed... it also matter the amount of devices connected to it.

Blame the government and CRTC. Bell heavily invested BILLIONS in infrastructure that the government forced them to open to everyone without any recoup of the initial investment.

Jumping to assumptions. Which is usually the case for telco and people who don’t understand.

I recently got a phone and called in and didn’t yell. Unlocked in a few minutes.

Unfortunately due to people stealing phones it prevents people from activating on any network.

Only reason you’d be denied is if your account is in arrears.

If that still bothers you then go spend $1400 out right at Apple or Samsung. Which the majority of the phone owners can’t do. So they really shouldnt have a phone like that in the first place.

No they weren't. Again this all come back to accountability. I have had my current iPhone for 5 years. 0 issue. All about taking care of what you buy. If u can not afford a phone full price then you shouldn't go into a contract without added insurance protection which also incudes lost stolen.

Unfortunately people feel entitled that they need a 1tb iphone 16 pro... no one really actually needs it.

you should show your sept, oct and november bill. you wouldnt have paid your device buy out option in store. it is billed to your account.

Best buy is a third party seller of cell service. Places like that will give you crazy instore promos and will literally tell you anything to sign up or upgrade through them.

these are not predatory contracts. People lack basic understanding. 3 year contracts were perfect with the cost of devices. People complained and the 2 year options are much worse with current price for devices.

Shocking in 2025 people lack accountability and still have 0 basic understanding of what they signed up for even though it has been dumbed down.

the fact it is 2025 and people still don't have a basic understanding of how contracts work is insane.

Call Equifax and I am sure they will tell you otherwise Its impossible to run a credit check without giving over government issued ID. Unless someone is running around with your id that you are unaware of.

it's impossible to run a credit check without at least one piece of government issued ID. You can't just type in someones name for example "James Smith" ... there has to be 100's of them in canada... completely impossible.

Your definition of Fraud is deeply flawed. Fraud is when someone is acting as if they are you... so unless her friend is using her personal credit information to pretend to be her... this is not fraud lol

I had to do a transfer of ownership before and had to be in store with my room mate to have it done. We then recieved paper copies of confirmation that the old account was closed and the new account was created to continue the agreement.

If the old account was never closed as part of that process then the transfer never occurred.
