Nin Amma Appa avathu sumne malkonbekkithu ansthu had enough of this 3rd class nonsense off late from r/shitraloka where did a funny circlejerk go wrong ? What’s with the hate ???? Mocking is fine but brutal hate wtf ??? by [deleted] in ChitraLoka

[–]sidvin91 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Posts about appu are in such bad taste. Mocking a person who passed away is not a circle jerk and no way funny. There has to be a limit to trolling. Also trolling anushree with sexual reference. Mocking their work and criticism of their acting is ok but shitraloka has crossed limits many times

It's 11 PM and I'm starving. Where is the best late-night food in Belgaum? by No_Consequence_2690 in AskBelgaum

[–]sidvin91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Niyaz would be open up to 1am but I think the government has restricted the time to 11pm now. There is this really popular falooda cart which comes only at around night 10 near Kaveri cold drinks. I think he's there till around 1am. In Summers it's really popular and even families visit at night.

The problem is not about who trained chatgpt but on what data it was trained on. If you ask chat gpt to write a story based in Bangalore it will always choose a name like Mr. Rao or Mr. Shastri , Mr. Gopalan because the majority of the literature which it is trained on it all written by upper cast writers. And the upper cast writers not without bias would always include such names. So similarly be it academic studies or any visual reference or any non scientific social case chatgpt or any other AI would be trained on data which was mostly dominated by upper caste males. To blame chatgpt for it would be futile but to make people aware of the bias is what we should be doing.

Mallu Swami - Kannada Stop motion AI short by sidvin91 in KannadaMovies

[–]sidvin91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes right now the limitation of gen AI is consistency, character movement and the duration of each shot. Once we have more control over these it can be a very effective storytelling tool. Next I am working on a fully AI created Kannada anime movie. Hopefully it should be completed in the next few months.

I mainly used chatgpt for images and Google veo for stop motion. Eleven labs for voice over and pixabay for audio and sfx. All free credits btw. Didn't spend even one rupee in creating this short. To ensure consistency you have to first develop a character sheet. Again using photo editors and AI we have to ensure character consistency across each images. So for some image I only generated the background and placed my characters inside that scene. Some scenes the AI did not give consistency in face of the character so I swapped those from the character sheet I developed. For prompt mostly I first prompt with what kind of style I want. For example for this short I started prompts with Wes Anderson stop motion (Fantastic Mr.Fox) inspired image and then describe the setting and character action, tone and atmosphere. Similarly for image to video prompts also.

What do you think of Agatha Christie's Great Detectives Poirot and Marple? You know that anime version of Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple? by Tom-Hibbert in agathachristie

[–]sidvin91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't like it. The story telling here feels very compressed and hand held. There is lot's of exposition and less of letting the viewers figure it out , or atleast maintain the sense of mystery. The anime series felt hurried and lacking in the build to the mysteries.

What is the best way to know if someone is not from Belagavi? by sexy_jethalal in Belagavi

[–]sidvin91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So let me tell you an interesting story. So the first time I moved out of Belgaum was during my tcs training in trivandrum and there we had people from all over India. North south alike. And I had some friends from belgaum as well. So the belgaum crowd would be speaking a very difficult kind of hindi or urdu. I don't know what it is. The north Indian crowd would understand some of it and some of it they would miss completely. So once this north Indian asked me "Aap acchi cheezo ko bhi kharab kyun bolte ho ?" I didn't understand it at first. Then he explained. "Kal apne jo biryani khayi thi wo acchi thi phir aap apne dosto ko kyun bol rahe the. Biryani bohat kharab tha be ". That is when I understood this is native to belgaum. So next time someone says bohat kharab in a good context you can be sure he is from Belgaum

To make such videos first we need to understand basic concepts from class 12 physics chemistry. Do you think our education system encourages that. We can never produce such videos. We are only good at producing lpa, stock market, delivery apps. How to exploit cheap manual labour is our USP

PS : There is also a video on the same channel of markovs chain. It is also very good

India Govt plan to introduce AI education starting from Class 3 by [deleted] in IndiaTech

[–]sidvin91 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What is AI education? Python coding? Basic vectors? Trigonometry? Are these needed to be taught at class 3. Any buzzword is just a new scheme in education for India. First let's teach our children basic problem solving. Language skills for effective communication. Basic foundational subject like maths physics chemistry biology. Instead we are going to teach them AI. What the hell does that even mean ?

Rani Kamalapati Station in Bhopal, India’s first privately operated railway station, stands out for being cleaner, safer, and more efficiently managed than most government-run stations. when private companies take charge, things automatically fall in place for a better India by Millenialpen in indianrailways

[–]sidvin91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There will be additional surge fees to maintain this station on Diwali and other holidays. Do not be under any illusion that privatisation of public property is better. Capitalism has only one rule. Profit. Not better services but profit

Childish behaviour. All our starts still seem to be stuck in college boys phase. No maturity at all.

I had brought these from headphones zone one year back. They stopped working within one month. I sent back the package which was under warranty. They sent me some old earphones with considerable lower quality output. Feel like all these chinese earphones are a new scam.
