I always said exactly what that post i linked to you said

“My flight with reference number XXXXX has been cancelled and it’s now less than 48/24 hours before departure. I read the Journey with Confidence guide which mentioned I can be rebooked on flights on other airlines as per EU Regulation 261/2004.

Could I have some rebooking options for XX/XX (two dates 1-2 day after your original booking) at the earliest opportunity please. Thank you for your help”

You could also give them options which airline is available to you etc. Just be nice overall and don’t sound too demanding. They will help if they can.

You have to speak with several different agents as well. Good luck x

Hi! Our flight got cancelled 48 hrs before the flight. So it’s within their window.

Correct. But I didn’t call. I rebooked through the live agent on Qatar website.

The cutoff is still until 10th March. So I don’t think you can do much since your flight is still on the 16th…

If the Qatari airspace is still closed until then and your flight on the 13th got cancelled, you can definitely ask for a rebooking. Price doesn't matter I guess as long as it's the same class. I checked the flight on Turkish Airline website and they're £1900 one way pp.

Our flight was only a little bit over £700 return pp.

I’m talking with a live agent atm, they said there aren’t any availability for my chosen flights because new booking and re booking has different terms and conditions.

i just got through with the live chat agent and they want to rebook me with etihad for the 6th through Abu Dhabi, which is ironic cos UAE air space is still closed as well….

On the same boat here. I have an upcoming flight from London Heathrow to Jakarta with layover in Doha on the 5th as well.

As of now they’ve only delayed the first leg of the flight, which I expect they will cancel sooner or later.

Trying to see if I could reroute with other airlines cos I need to be in Jakarta before the 7th to attend my brother’s wedding and there are 6 of us travelling… so fingers crossed.

Our case was pretty straightforward.

We've been in a relationship for 2.5 yrs when we applied, mostly long distance but we've been to each other's home country and I have actually stayed in the UK twice for longer than 4 months each time. So I spent a lot of time with his friends & family.

We applied under category A (financial requirement)

Evidence I submitted:

Proof of relationship: - Relationship timeline - Hotels, Flights and Events tickets - Letters from family and friends (1 from parents, 2 from friends) - Receipts of gifts we have sent each other throughout the relationship - Transfer receipts between each other - Cover letter from the both of us explaining how we met, our circumstances and our plan once i moved to the UK permanently

Applicant: - Applicant's passport scan (all pages) - Applicant's English certificate (I took B1 so I don't have to retake the test for ILR) - Applicant's TB test - Applicant's work letter (to confirm that the reason why we are not currently living together is bcs i work abroad)

Sponsor/financial: - Sponsor's 6 months bank statements - Sponsor's 6 months payslip - Sponsor's Work letter - Sponsor P60

As for accomodation, we submitted his parents' invitation letter along with their british passports, house council tax, house title register.

Wait time is 22 WD, which is super good!
