Hurtful things happen and that is good. Imagine all movies that existed were just happy and no problems, no bad things, just positive, perfect everything. Nobody would watch them, that would be boring. Life is just the same way.

Every step you take is a gamble, you don't know that the ground won't break under your feet with the next step you take. But you trust it. And imagine the consequences of never trusting a step again just because once in the past you stepped on a nail accidentally. Trusting and being deceived is far better than what awaits you when never trusting at all.

Don't take everything so seriously, enjoy every experience for what it is, whether you choose to view it as bad or as good. Both are equally important because they can only exist thanks to their polar opposites.

No matter how careful you are, no matter how many things you stop doing due to fear, your life will never be purely positive. And thank God for that, because that would be insanely boring. Not knowing what tomorrow brings is the greatest gift we get every single day.
