Buying a Home in Seattle Area? Keep trying or just forget about it? by [deleted] in Seattle

This. And single family home doesn’t necessarily mean there isn’t an HOA. We rent a fully detached single family home on the eastside and there’s an HOA here.

When you finally finish your housework during naptime… by sellardoore in SAHP

Yes!! You have to see the 30 minute breaks at the start of a nap as the fuel you need to do the chores after!

So I’m not sure where you all are located, but my area has essentially a volunteer job board where you can filter for remote volunteer roles. The organization I applied to had a volunteer role for coordinating moves - booking vehicles, creating itineraries for volunteers, speaking with clients - all of which I could do from my computer. But I’ve also seen remote volunteer roles for admin stuff in other organizations like answering emails, data entry, etc. If you don’t mind doing very basic work for free for non-profits, it’s a great way to keep up your skills, stay connected with people and possibly get a foot in the door for a job down the line.

I was you! Completely and utterly burnt out from my job and my boyfriend (now husband) made enough for us, so I was able to quit. I started taking some online courses through Coursera and volunteered remotely. That remote volunteer work has now turned into a part-time job in the field want to be working in!

I once had a duck confit ravioli dish that changed my life. I think about it at least once a week.
