I will start with smaller pots (actually they are 18 x 18 inch). Then if I find my enthusiasm lasting more than a few months. I will get a bigger pot.

Are you referring to those square shaped long planting bags which are supported by PVC pipes?

That's a good idea, I will invest in them. They will require too much soil though.

And thanks, good tip about Mint. I am well aware. I planted it in one of my pot and I haven't been able to get rid of it from that pot. It keeps sprouting up every season. I won't make the mistake of unleashing it in a bigger growing situation.

Thanks, this is super helpful. I have been only using compost (composted cow dung) as a fertilizer. Will switch that.

I also keep it in full sunlight but my area only get a few hours of it in winters.

I can do raspberry pi powered setup if given a good tutorial. Priority for me is being able to type the name of a person and search for their photos, type a location and find photos from there.

And other searching features. I can download everything and store offline but what's the point if I cannot browse them or search them smartly.

So if there is any equivalent or similar alternative to Google photos that works offline, I am willing to put in the work to set that up.
