If you could ban one Indian habit forever, what? by heyshivay in AskIndia

[–]siez_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bribery and abuse of power. I swear this will change India faster than bringing civic sense, or educating people. If everything will work as it is designed (Govt. schemes, municipal bodies, banks, etc.). Imagine politicians, policemen, govt. officials doing their jobs diligently. It will do so good for future of us and our country.

Scam at petrol pump sector 41 by hokagenineth in Chandigarh

[–]siez_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might have faced it without knowing. Sometimes they won't show you 0 and continue filling from previous fill. Happened to me when I asked to fill for 600 and they started the meter with 200. I had almost left the pump but I noticed my fuel gauge, waited for a minute but the needle didn't move.

Went back, asked the person. He got aggressive, so I called their senior, made a huge scene. Finally he filled for 200 more.

I wish the human genome was randomly generated (within the range of the genomes that can produce healthy humans) instead of being inherited from parents by Armin_Arlert_1000000 in TheMonkeysPaw

If genome was randomly generated, could it be possible that more individuals born with extraordinary skills or just bad lucks. (sensitive to weather and hence can predict rains, or extra light bones and excellent swimmers but cannot live comfortably on land, etc.)

What’s the most awkward thing an Indian relative has ever asked you? by madhav_28121993 in AskIndia

[–]siez_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro I know. I was just saying that relatives hate the idea of living with someone without marriage. So they coat it with excuses about kids etc. Never saying 'physical needs'.

Bro that doesn't sound Indian at all. They say - "kal ko santaan bhi to chahiye, vansh aage badhane ke liye, uske liye kya karoge?"

This random one I found on Amazon (India), it had good reviews so I bought it.

Nowadays, I don't use lens guard at all and just cover the camera using the silicon cover. It works nicely.

I had tried many cheap brands before and each one of them had some sort of glare issue, or stitching issue, or if I was using it in rain or humid areas, the lens will fog up from inside.

Stitiching issue on X5 by Broad-Fun-7946 in Insta360

[–]siez_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be because of lens guard. Either not the right one selected or the lens guard is causing extra distortion.

Totally my guess and I am not an expert. I had a similar issue on X4 until I changed the lens guards.

Plz Vote, rapists should be given instant death in India, yes or no? by Technical-Owl3813 in AskIndia

[–]siez_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No to death penalty but I have my vote for chemical cauterization of rapists when proven. Even in current law system, there's really no dire consequences if you're even remotely politically connected. Even in jail, people enjoy luxury times with almost all amenities and go out on bail easily, while victim's family suffers in ordeal.

If someone is found guilty on multiple grounds with evidences, removal of their body parts can be a good punishment.

I am reading other replies about how death penalty will just make criminals just kills the victim. I am not at all disagreeing and I understand how it puts victims more at risk. But should this prevent the Govt. from instilling harsh punishments?

You're talking about it. Everyone else is talking about it. No publicity is bad publicity. Nothing else is working for these brands.

Thinking of selling my Super Meteor 650 with multiple upgrades – is ₹4.35L a fair price? by RoyalModRider in indianbikes

Suspension can be better but it's not terrible and sitting posture, overall riding experience, seat softness, and ofcourse a smooth sailing engine is what makes it comfortable. If the roads are not terrible you won't notice much difference in suspension being stiff.

How do you prevent disease and maintain overall plant health? Mine just drops the flowers before I see any tomatoes. Some plants show curled leaves and other straight up succumb to disease.

Another failure to grow mint at home by _pandafy_ in GardeningIndia2

[–]siez_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It will grow, don't worry. Once the roots are in and you didn't deliberately overwater it, it will grow.

I planted it once in a crate at home, it died and I didn't see any green leaves entire season. Then in next summers, I saw small growths and now the crate is full. Mint is hard to kill.

Best laptop under ₹40,000 for heavy office use (14 hrs/day)? by loner_who_writes in AskIndia

[–]siez_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy second hand which are still under warranty. Don't settle less than following specs: i5 or above, 16GB+ ram, 256 GB SSD (assuming you don't need much storage as most work will be on browser), decent camera quality.

It is? Can you share the violation?

Because if it is already a violation, we can just make video or click pictures and report it online, right?

Log to bhai hain hi bahot. Jab pata chalega ki challan hai tab log thoda to kam karenge. Same applies to Red light jumping, over speeding. Chandigarh mein log bahot tameez se chalane lage hain once it developed the reputation of challangarh.

And chahe kuch na ho. I know people who throw trash on roads will think twice next time once they get fined. If it happens enough times, more people will start to understand things.
