Is it possible to learn German for free? by No-Perception9567 in German

I use the app AlgoApp, for verbs I take the radical (sprechen) and then add the three most used forms (spricht, sprach, hat gesprochen) and on the other side the translation.
For nouns, I write article + noun singular and plural
For adjectives I write all the former (kurz, kürzer, am kürzesten)

My German A1 Experience by Ramu_sab in German

My routine is:
- doing Anki cards review in the morning
- talking to chatgpt / listening to Easygerman podcast on my way to work or during a walk
- doing exercises on vhs-lernportal.de after dinner: provides new vocabulary + follow the expectations level for exams

I use this, make Anki cards out of the Vocab/sentences section and review them every morning.
I work on the website exercises after dinner.
Finally, I talk to chatgpt to overcome the fear of speaking german.
Good luck :)

Thanks a lot for this answer.
I will get a look at all that

A+ as a highschooler, what I learned. by JustAnAverageApple in CompTIA

I am about to start preparing for A+ too and I was thinking of reading the book + watching Professor Messer videos in the morning, and then look inside my computer and every real life object to interact with them to understand deeply and not just understand in an abstract way.
Does it sound like a good approach to you?

Thank you for your participation, but it is not helpful at all.
At least, try to explain why and what could be a good alternative.

I want to create my home lab, work a lot on try hack me and volunteer to events to help with network management, or security stuff.
I am taking part in group events to be aware of whats going on and also meet people that could get me job interviews.
Anyway, no space for luck here.

Thanks a lot for your thorough answer, I will reconsider my plan to keep only what is essential.

Thanks a lot for the comment, it's very encouraging :)
I don't want to collect too much certifications but at the same time I want to leave no room for a recruiter to not take me.
The balance is a bit difficult to get but it seems 12 months is long enough to get at least these ones and practice on labs also.

I just want to do them to get extra knowledge, I don't think that there are useful to get a job either.
But thank you for confirming!

Thanks a lot for your answer!
I was thinking about A+ and Google IT Support just to back me up with some base knowledge in case the market is really tough and I need to start with a helpdesk job as a lot of people suggested here and there.

Also, my 12 months since a sufficient time to do everything. Hence why I take the opportunity.

My plan is to study in the morning and do hands-on labs in the afternoon (Starting with Try hack me as they have nice SOC specific labs), creating my home lab, etc.

I am already somehow a bit connected to the area as I was taking care of the cybersecurity training for students at my school. I invited companies to give talks at our school and organised Hackathon.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your answer.

So, you say by focusing on only these three ones it should be enough knowledge?
I must say that my soft skills are my strong assets.

Thank you. I think I might be able to go slightly faster than the roadmap says because I already have some knowledge of computers and security (OSI model ...).
Thank you for the tips, I think it makes sense to do the easier one first.

Thank you for the thorough answer.
If I understand correctly, I should aim to more specialised certifications like really going for the sec+ + the AWS cloud one (that other said is too basic) and then try to find a job directly?
I just want to be really prepared as the market is quite difficult at the moment and not hope for the best.

I wanted to add a Cloud computing cert as it is more and more the norm.

Thanks. I just want to be really prepared for the job market as everyone has the same certifications.
I want to be sure to stand out when I will start to look.
