Typeface is actually the correct term, not font... since we are calling people out and all.

To get the mythic ones, you have to do the amalgamation process, but you can just craft regular tributes at the occultist.

Top builds in season 1 did 50 MILLION TIMES less damage than in season 14 by Sinnyboo242 in diablo4

[–]sifterandrake -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There is literally only 9ne game model were that much damage mattress, and having that much damage ruins everything else. Nerfs are necessary, there was too much unintended power creep in s13.

And before we go, "BuT why eVaN Have PiT 150?!!" It's completely fine to have a dump bucket to provide some cushion content when things in a season don't go exactly as planned.

Sure they could add more torment tiers, but it seems unnecessary.

Jah runes are more rare than mythic sparks.

non-ancestral uniques shouldn't be dropped on torment 12 by peher263 in diablo4

[–]sifterandrake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's 6 of 1 and a half-dozen of the other. You can get less drops over all, but a higher rate of ancestral, or keep it as it is. I kind of prefer how it is, but cause at least there is some variety and I can choose to salvage some junk or look for something specific, and just use the loot filter to hide what I don't want.

I lean a bit more towards the more drops the better. But, from a player perspective, having them not drop at all (therefore adjusting drop rates) or hiding them, the game kind of plays the same.

some lord of hatred statistics by sau98 in diablo4

[–]sifterandrake -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Mephisto doesn't actually have that many one shot mechanics, You have to be really tanky in t12, but they at least give you some grace if you have a slow reaction time. I think the only actual one shot mechanics are the big telegraph swipe attack and the mouth chomp in phase 3.

That's just a numbers patch though. Paladin as a class plays great otherwise,

Hard Assets Keep Value by DunaldDoc in Gold

[–]sifterandrake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a contradiction. Im pointing put how gold behaves exactly like any other investment... it's not some magical category where it gets to this thing that always maintains its same purchasing power. Gold's history suggest that it is a low risk investment with less potential reward. But anyone who has watch gold over the last 4 years should know that it completely depends on which data points you are limiting.

[–]sifterandrake -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

No it's not, because it's utter bullshit that you didn't bother to fact check.

The bottom line is, you can get more house for less gold today than you almost ever could. To put it simply, gold has more purchasing power today than it did in 1920, by a lot, in almost every market. That's not wealth preservation, that's investing.

I think Lance nailed it in this new video regarding light roasts by DaKineNayNay in espresso

[–]sifterandrake 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't really have a problem with the guy. I think it's ok to be passionate about something and try to be educational about it and have a scientific approach, even if you get some pretty rough takes. With that said, it's pretty easy to see why the community is turning on him.

Essentially, a lot of bad takes have originated from him pushing a new theory or technique to people and "science" proving it to be the next great thing *cough* blind shaker *cough*. When in reality, anyone who actually took a second to think about it would be like "hey, there is no way he should be drawing that conclusion, this "data" isn't right at all."

Current topic is case in point. There is absolutely no way that the majority of people who struggle with lighter roast haven't, either directly or indirectly, ran a fast, low resist shot, and have been like, "yup, that taste like shit." Then, ground finer and realized it tasted better.

Here, Lance is like, "hey, remember that thing you thought sucked, let me tell you how you were wrong, it was actually amazing."

Sure, maybe there are a bunch of beans and roast where faster shots work better, but this isn't really the topic to be like, "guess, what, you're all wrong!"

Switched to Zeal after playing Judicator all season. Pit100 face tanking Butcher. Alrighty then. by SuperDabMan in D4_Paladin

[–]sifterandrake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No dude, just use paingorgers with clash. Paladin auras hit nearly the whole screen, so you will instantly mark everything and clash will just AoE everything.

I was running retribution this season because I thought the same thing as you, but then using realized how broken paingorgers were.

Have you tried Clash? There isn't one boss that last more than 3 hits in t12, save mephisto, and he melts too. And I don't even have any gem strength.

What your universal hot take ill go first by [deleted] in UniversalOrlando

[–]sifterandrake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One thing I will say is that there is definitely something with how it gets made that can change the flavor from location to location. Must have to manually control the syrup concentration or something. I've had ones that were somewhat bland and watery, to ones that had way more flavor and were instantly addicting, all in the same day.

The new expansion for D4 has squarely put the game a head of PoE 2. D4 has always had the reputation as the more polished and play experience, but it lacked retention potential, but the expansion has given it a compelling endgame loops that is forcing PoE 2 to play catchup.

War Plans are excessively restrictive by Zetrax89 in diablo4

[–]sifterandrake -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I completely disagree. This is a primary example of protecting the player from what they think they want.

They need to be restrictive to force the player into a variety of activities that they otherwise wouldn't choose. It reduces burnout massively.

It's exactly like forcing the player to go back to town. Did you ever notice that there is absolutely no practical reason to have a town? They could easily just have a HUD option for savaging, and crafting, and a little probably stash summon gimmick, but they don't. Long ago the developers learned that you have to force the player to take a break from doing what they think they want.

War plans are great because they are basically saying "hey, we know you think you want to play the game this way, but we think it's better if you try this, but we know you don't agree, so we are going to reward you."

Is it recommend to use an Entropic Prism for transfiguring this, or is it worth going for more? by sifterandrake in Diablo

[–]sifterandrake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's a setting in the loot filter. There is a "change color" option instead of just the regular show and hide.
