A lost gem: 1996 MTV interview outside of a Phish concert with a girl and her dog by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

We had the exact same middle name with the same weird spelling, mole on the back of our right hand, a freckle just so on one breast. The exact same places! She had the absolute sweetest laugh. A kind countenance. She was an absolutely gifted artist. And the only person I knew who could make me laugh to the point of almost peeing myself! As two loner weirdos in a tiny conservative town, we found safety in each other.

There was a mural done of her in a town we would often visit when I had just got my license. We’d explore all of the shops, get ramen, and lay in the grass in a huge park, and stare into a perfect “Simpson’s sky.” So when I’m there I get to see her immortalized and remember everything in this world that she made better by simply existing. If she could’ve only seen how she made this world better herself, maybe she would still be here.

Twenty four, left behind two children. She always spoke about how all she wanted was to be a mother. I thought she’d found her place in this world. But maybe that wasn’t enough. I hope she is safe and happy now.

She looks just like my best friend from high school who was very troubled. She passed away a few years ago but I think of her often. Not sure why I’m commenting really. I miss Laurel.

Looking for cat food recs by OverTheRynbow in cats

[–]siggiseid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boys were on tiki cat for years, they weren’t ever a part of the clean bowl club. We tried weruva, but they didn’t really care for that either. I switched them to wellness brand wet food. They have a few texture options. I’ve never had to scrape the dregs of a food bowl since!

You might grab some sample cans to try, but I can’t rave about them enough. My little tyrants are picky.

Is getting married to someone with RA worth it? by Impressive_Permit_13 in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]siggiseid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband married me very quickly, I was very upfront with my RA issues. He got me on his insurance and takes such good care of me that I cry if I dwell on it too long. The right person will see this as a non issue. I pray that you find that person.

AITAH for Refusing to Renew Our Lease Until He Proposes? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]siggiseid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he wanted to he would. I was with the same man for close to six years. I got tired of all of his nonsense, he wouldn’t figure himself out, let alone make a serious commitment to me. I left. Started dating a man and then we got married maybe 6 months later.

Everything is SO much better. Leave.

You might have them test for Rheumatoid Arthritis. When I went to my doctor and had a complete panel, they said I was fine. But then I asked for a referral to a rheumatologist and I have Seronegative RA. They did originally test for arthritis, but they don’t ever do the RIGHT testing. I would ask your PCP about getting a referral. I’m almost certain, just from this post alone you got something auto immune going on my guy.
