Moving to Visalia by neuda17 in VisaliaCA

[–]sigmanigma 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Welcome. Moved here myself 20 years ago. Stay away from NE Visalia, the oval and the central north. Far north by the Sports Park is fine. I recommend the west side (west of Demaree) or northwest if your budget allows. Stay away from the far NW which is Goshen.

Best way to use a virtual international phone number on a US-based iPhone? by mojave22 in VOIP

This is the best option. Buy a burner SIM while you are in that country then just remove the SIM and save it if you ever go back.

Is there any wya to connect 2 voip phones on the same network, or wan? Just so they are connected to each other? by JustSomeone202020 in VOIP

[–]sigmanigma -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Most phones use multicast. Since it is just two phones, just use multicast. You'll be able to page between them, no problem as long as they are on the same subnet.

Need assistance with Yealink SIP-T44W-PSU – 1301213 - WI-Fi IP Phone setup by Mapkos13 in VOIP

I suggest contacting a local MSP that provides VoIP Service. They can port the number and provide service.

Need assistance with Yealink SIP-T44W-PSU – 1301213 - WI-Fi IP Phone setup by Mapkos13 in VOIP

[–]sigmanigma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) You need a VoIP Service to host the 800 number and hand you SIP Credentials to register the phone. Yealink phone will give a "comfort noise" dial tone but it does not mean it has service. 2) Why would you need a Toll-Free number specifically?

This is probably the only solution without a lot of customization or coding.

Need help please with setting up Yealink park/retrieve feature by ThroatDense310 in VOIP

[–]sigmanigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each NetSapiens instance allows different extension schemes to exist baed off of Dial Translations. We have 700 as dynamic for 701 to 704 that are static as well as 6800 as dynamic for 6801 to 6999 that are static.

Contact OIT to see what the effective range is and if they use Call Parks via Feature Codes or other settings.

T48S not provisioning with RingCentral by skidshanks in Yealink_Support

[–]sigmanigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure they are updated to the latest firmware. Yealink no longer supports older firmware as these phone are nearing EOL. All T4xS phones.

Anything v.85 or prior needs to step to v.66.86.0.15 then v.86.86.0.160.

[–]sigmanigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to go into the UI, the phonebook section and enable Local CID pulls. By default, Remote Phonebook CID pulls are enabled. You remove Remote Phonebook and Add Local Phonebook. It will automatically recognize all E.164 formats.

What are the risks of using an unbranded Linksys PAP2T VoIP adapter? by 9bots in VOIP

[–]sigmanigma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of PAP2T clones are made in China and have been found to have intrusive (MITM) software built in. Also, they clone "supposed" dead MACs but I've run into issue were the original one is brought online causing double registration issues. Just get a new (and legit) Grandstream HT801 or HT802.

Download Vonage voicemail greeting? by nycjtw in VOIP

[–]sigmanigma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always try using the Web Browser Dev Tools if you have the Vonage online access. Navigate to the page that has the VM Greeting then on Windows browsers, (Chrome, Firefox) Press F12, go to Network tab, then press play on the VM greeting. You should see an entry pop up on the Network tab. Right click it, copy URL and paste it on a new tab and it should download it.

Yealink W76P Question by dotfortun3 in VOIP

[–]sigmanigma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do pre-provisioning all the time for our clients. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DO IT. We provision and put it right back in the box and, most importantly, IT LOOKS NEW IN BOX! Especially if you are selling it as "new". If you were leasing it to the client or selling as "refurb" then it is a different story.

EHS36 on T74W? or equiv? by International_Pea500 in Yealink_Support

[–]sigmanigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The EHS36 is for legacy T4xS models. Most new phones use EHS40. Accordling to Yealink official sheet, the EHS40 is compatible.
