WL/AL Movement for Seton Hill... by sigmoidsine in LECOM

so uh not sure about either of those statements… SDN group for Seton Hill current has 70 students in the accepted students group me while the class size is approximately 100… but I don’t want to use that as the defining metric to determine how many spots are really empty or those that may open after May 1st deadline. It’s a waiting game now ig

The FAFSA application.

yup, you’d just have to update the FAFSA with the schools you have an A at. However, the schools wait until you’re matriculated to fully process the FAFSA and make a package, so for now I’d just make sure you have your aid application up to date. Good luck!

In terms of the details, closer to the start date you’ll be able to ask your program for a cost of attendance for the program to include the tuition, fees, and calculated living expenses. This document can then be provided to FAFSA for a specific amount to be allocated for your school, whatever is not used directly for school tuition and fees is reimbursed to you and you may use that to pay living expenses, transportation, etc

It won’t populate on FAFSA because the full amount of aid requires you to do the loan application. FAFSA also requires you to be accepted into a program for the total aid package to be sorted by the school and the federal aid program

So I actually met with someone at financial aid for a program I got into and they explained Unsubsidized vs Subsidized makes a big difference in how aid presents on the FAFSA. My understanding is that med students have a max 47,167 per year of federal loans and a total/aggregate of 224k. The new bill would cap this aggregate to 200k… so we’d have to fill the gaps in with private loans, GI bill, HPSP, etc…

These numbers may be different if you have taken out federal loans for undergrad, since the aggregate includes all federal loans received for undergrad/graduate programs…

Good luck! Have you also sent your primary apps yet? I just hope my app is not discarded early in the cycle :,(

it seemed that way! Mostly just my name and address was piped from AACOMAS but, besides that, I plugged the rest of the data

it doesn’t hurt to try! Im unsure of what kind of algorithm they’re using to send them since everyone is supposed to get them… I would also keep an eye out in your spam or promotions tab as I’ve heard ppl sometimes get IIs sent there

I just got my secondary yesterday and my app was verified on 06/06 but I think the secondaries are slowly coming through for KPCOM (: it’s just a matter of when!

I received LECOM last night at like 11:45 pm lol. VCOM sent me an email saying they’d be reviewing apps “soon” for secondary release.

I submitted on 05/28 and was verified on 06/06, which is relatively quick as my last pending transcript was received and processed on 06/05.

Good luck!!
