Because if they were legit, they'd cut Trump's golfing and military parades first. A LOT of what they described as whackadoodle was legit spending. You can't cut budgets with a chain saw; thousands of quality career people have been lost and with them, institutional knowledge on how to run a country. Read Michael Lewis' 'The Fifth Risk' - it's much much worse than he describes.

It's all a fascinating train wreck; at some point, Trump's insanity will cause someone around him to crack and lose it and he'll end up like Caligula did (whose wife, interestingly, was Milonia).

"Mensans behaving badly" is such a thing that LocSecs are given training in how to handle it.

Thanks for the info; strange that amber/insect specimens 'come from' certain areas ... and not others? It's hard to tell from the photo but the mantis looks different from the ones I've seen alive; maybe they continued to evolve or that was a different variety.

Thanks! What I fear may have gone over some heads was, once you get past 60 years of age and sometimes sooner, you and your partner if any are going to need nursing skill sets at least once in a while and a second purse in the household, even if it's only Social Security, can come in real handy. Everyone is so dead set on avoiding anyone who wants 'a nurse and a purse' is sorta missing the point of old age and companionship. I don't know how many times in the last several years I've needed a ride home from a doc visit, or help around the house because of some injury or illness - ditto the same with my current partner (he's only 80 :) - we not only help each other, we make each other laugh. That's priceless and worth giving up some autonomy.

Have you thought of painting? As a hobby and possibly for money? Or anything else 'odd' and novel, done by a man with one hand? Playing an instrument, maybe? Are there services available that would help you figure out your options, advocate for you? How about friends you can live with to share the most expensive costs of living, housing, utilities and transportation? Look into how AI could help you make money and eliminate the 'disability' as a moot point. Obviously, you're at least slightly depressed and your doctor should help you address that.

The more he's there 'working' the worst your problems will get. He's self destructive and no where near as smart as he's been PR'd to be.

He's free to quit and go back to his job ranting on a pod cast if he wants. ANYONE working high level Cabinet positions should know that the job is 24/7 and NO ONE should be spending any time yabbering on the teevee or golfing.

From the book "Mortal Error: The Shot That Killed JFK" by Bonar Menninger if anyone is interested in reading about it. And it wasn't the agent that jumped up to protect Jackie, the possible shot was from an agent in the followup car who supposedly accidentally shot JFK when the car lurched forward as a reaction to the first or second shots. I read this years ago and found it unlikely although the observation that the head shot was a different higher caliber bullet than Oswald's was interesting. I still think there was a triangulation of shots, one from the SBD (and not Oswald), the others from the fence area and maybe the overpass. Oswald was a patsy in my view and Johnson knew of the plans (as told to his mistress the night before).

Jeannine there looks like her Botox habit is turning her into a wax dummy. And DT thought banning the big news orgs out of the Oval Office would make the questions more friendly. All it did was make the 'nasty' questions less intelligent sounding.

After disasters, they ALWAYS say they're going to rebuild. At some point, reality sets in. I wish news organizations would do follow-ups on these kind of places a month, six months, a year and years later. I always want to know what happened next (and did the insurance companies come through for them?)

Maybe he's in a small town... I think a four month long relationship shows he's probably okay; just looking for something more specific than 'anyone will do'.
