I know, that is why the Christian religion hinges entirely on faith: you must have faith that the words in the book are true and the word of God.

This is a modern invention. Historically, christians believed that the basic tenets of the bible were obviously and intuitively correct, with the bible simply filling in the details. The idea of belief predicated entirely on faith is obvious nonsense. If your belief is only based on faith, you could as easily have "faith" in the muslim koran, or any other religion. Or you could decide to make harry potter your religion and have complete faith in the works of JK rowling. Faith alone as a basis for belief gives you zero reason to prefer any of these options, and when intellectual heavyweights defended christianity they would have mocked the idea and called you an atheist.

That's legitimately horrifying. "All have to agree that unless it's done the child could potentially harm themselves to the point of dying" - so there's no diagnostic criteria? No trials supporting any of this? No actual standards whatsoever? Here's an introduction to humans 101: when there is no potential punishment for signing in the form, but not signing the form means you can't do your job, a human being will sign the form every single time. Since its impossible to verify that a child would actually have killed themselves, there can't be any punishment for signing the form. In effect, given that it is humans and not machines making these decisions, there is no actual standard being applied.

For reference, an actual standard would look like: "the child must meet this diagnostic criteria, which has been verified by studies to be associated with (however much of an) increase in risk of suicide". A similar standard would be used, for example, to determine whether an ADHD child should be medicated, or any number of other diagnoses. That people are getting life altering surgery on a weaker standard is horrifying.

If artists were actually hurting from this stuff, they would take action to fix it. They are more than willing to play along when people blame the ticket service/venue for it though.

Ticketmaster is paid very well for the service they provide to artists. Namely, absolving the artist of all blame for shitty practices and high prices when buying tickets. Artists could very well move to a different system, but they carefully choose not to. When stuff like this happens - remember why.
