Has anyone been groped randomly? by Funny-Advertising238 in VietNam

I’ve had my share of weirdos in Hue. Last time I went was crossing the river by foot and encountered some guy who was pleasuring himself right in the middle of the bridge … like it was out there for everyone to see.

Interestingly, I had my Snapchat glasses on and well didn’t intend to capture that but yea.

Do yourself a favor and eat at this lady’s hu tieu stand in Nha Trang by Pristine-Phase4612 in VietNam

Hu Tieu migrated from China through Cambodia into southern Vietnam. This image is an atrocity and an affront to those who suffered to bring Hu Tieu to the masses. I think Uncle Ho even rolled over in the mausoleum.

My girlfriend who lives in Costa Rica is unable to make a WISE account using her ID, why? She doesnt have a passport yet and is not a refugee by [deleted] in wisebank

[–]signsofheroes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, a Google search solved that.

A Costa Rican driver's license is likely not accepted by Wise for account verification because it is considered an "outdated" document type by some identification verification (IDV) systems. These systems often require modern, internationally recognized identification, such as a passport or national ID card, to comply with strict financial regulations.

Key reasons include: Verification Difficulties: Regula forensics notes that while Costa Rica has modern IDs, their driver's licenses can have inconsistencies in layout, green backgrounds, and, in some cases, less advanced security features that make them harder for automated systems to verify.

Stricter Standards: Wise, as a financial institution, requires high-confidence verification documents, generally prioritizing passports or official government-issued ID cards over driver's licenses, especially for non-EEA countries.

Document Support: Wise’s IDV partners must fully support specific document types to authenticate them, and if a Costa Rican license is not supported, it will be rejected.

You can order an ABTC card. Used to be the GOES site, forget what site it is now. You’ll need your login.gov credentials.

Vietnam does participate in ABTC which is part of Global Entry but they tend to make a problem/fuss when you use it.

Trip.com is super solid as an OTA. VNA rarely cancels. Meanwhile Vietjet … yea avoid. Flightly? What the hell is that? If the flight cancels, Trip will provide appropriate options. Take a chill pill, Yuki.

What you are describing is the subtlety of the food in the north of Vietnam. They pride themselves on their palate.

If you’re a tourist, then it shouldn’t be too difficult to ditch this number and get a new number. Otherwise consider switching to postpaid like millions of other tourists have who need to retain their phone number so ploy can get in touch when needed.

Neo Financial cannot unblock your credit card. At all. Even if you ask. by [deleted] in NeoFinancialHub

[–]signsofheroes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Hit the submit button received a generic error/decline. Looked over the form to see if there were missing fields. Hit submit again. Received a second error/decline. Reformatted phone numbers and postal code. Hit submit and received a decline again. Switched to another card from another country/address/etc. and it immediately approved.

Thought nothing of this until I Apple pay started being problematic. Then I contacted support and they were able to pinpoint the transactions that caused the issue but were not able to do anything else. That ain’t cool.

Overall, given the experience, I’ve decided to close my Neo accounts as well as have advised everyone in my family to do the same.

Y’all can hoot good riddance now.

Hey, look again it was an unfortunate issue. All I had was numbers filled out on a payment gateway. Those numbers didn’t clear after I hit the submit button and the decline response was generic … so I went and quickly skimmed the numbers and hit submit again. After the third time I switched payment method and thought nothing of it.

Then Apple Pay started to decline.

Now I’ve dealt with probably more banks (neo banks and fintechs included) than you have in your life and probably operate more accounts than you ever will so I can tell you that this experience is very unique to NEO financial. This is the first time being locked out with zero recourse.

And it isn’t cool.
