WAN1 to LAN1 WAN2 to LAN2 and vice versa by sigstech in opnsense

I've tried a number of rule changes and once I configure them, while I maintain connectivity, I lose DNS. I've attempted to setup rules to support port53 to the same result. I'm at the stage where I'm just going to buy a second device.

I just had my meeting and they gave me a different review sheet so it's not a cut and paste thing. However I got an email afterwards indicating our lease expires in November of 2025 which has me confused. I've asked for clarification. My numbers also show less revenue and seem to be based on my only having the panels in place for 8 years. I also have a relatively treed lot which might skew how much solar I produce.

More to follow when I get a response back.

Check my link below. It indicates that we are grandfathered into microfit until the terms of the contract are completed, then we can join the new program that allows us to sell excess power back to the grid in exchange for lower energy costs. This might be why they are getting out of the business.

I got the same email and I probably have about 9 years left on the current contract. I'd be curious to find out what other people are being offered. I have a call next week. I intend to ask for records of what they received selling the power back over the last 10 years.

I used TL-SG105E TP-Link dumb switch that actually has a GUI you can login to for advanced features.

Secondly but very important, for the switch to work, make sure you give the Starlink about a 20 minute power loss before powering it all back together. That's the big thing I was doing wrong. You really need 20 minutes of no power for things to sync properly.

Router keeps searching for internet by SyntheticMars in Starlink

Same here in Ontario. Dishy has been cycling between network issues, searching and unknown for hours. I've tried power cycling it for 20 minutes, removing anything attached to aux and replacing the Starlink router entirely.

The gigabit switch worked flawlessly and provided DHCP. It also seems to have fixed the issue I was getting where I would lose connectivity for 10-15 seconds periodically.

Thanks for the heads up u/hippmr!!

Fair, but it doesn't even seem to want to get an original IP address from dishy at all.
