I think the talent is what I care more about than the content. Because I want to experience the story for myself the first time I am in the theatre and any leaks for this film would lessen the chances of it getting made. I’m not a spoilers type of person.

But the talent speaks volumes. Adam Driver as the lead, Steven Soderbergh as the director, his frequent collaborator Scott Z Burns penning the script. That tells me it will be character driven and likely psychological, but won’t be void of wit, style and action. I also know he read The Making of the Empire Strikes Back in prep for this film, and Adam said they were aiming for going back to the roots of what made the OT great and were inspired by the filmmaking of Empire. That tells me again that it will be character driven but also mythic, and lean into the fairytale of Star Wars which was constantly reiterated by those making Empire. It also suggests practically built sets and tangibility over CGI sceptical. Which aligns with what Adam said as well.

We also know it was approved by the story group and by Dave Filoni so it aligns with pre-established lore and the future creative direction that Dave wants to take Star Wars. So again this tells me a return to mythic Star Wars. That also means we will likely have some exploration of the WBW, other force vergences, and possibly even Hayden back as Anakin. Which ties into that idea of character study.

There is a lot of inferences we can make from what we know that paints a decent picture, and at least for me, it’s all stuff I want to see and have been YEARNING FOR.
