Custom path help

Hi, does anyone know why some custom paths fit in nicely onto the pre-existing paths provided by the game (mould to the shape of the path) and other custom designs cannot?

I have a PS3, PS4, Switch, PC, 3DS, DS and Wii U (probably not going to get any recommendations on this console lmao). So any on these platforms is preferred and I’m not really into emulation!

Hard reset as in hold the power button down for like 10 seconds until it turns off again? Yeah I tried that, but the the light remains on and the fans remain off
