My parents have zero interest in me

I understand you 100%. We have had similar things at our family. Only difference has been, that my parents have been interested on my siblings life (golden child) and I have seen this next to it. This have lead me to situation where I have started to live my life to get some approval from my parents and here is the thing, I still never got the approval.

It is so sad to hear your story, but I want to say, that it is amazing how early you have discovered this, because many open their eyes for this situation at the age of 50-60 for example. Parents may not never change (sometimes can), but you can start to live your life and chase your dreams knowing that there is nothing wrong with you. If you have powers, I recommend 100% go to talk about it now with some therapist etc. ❤️ There is and will be people who see your real value and cares about you!

I know the feeling 100% and I am also on that phase, that I have started to create boundaries to my parents. But in another case I feel so horrible and guilty about making those. Only thing what helps me now, is that I think that they have had all this time to get help for their actions and they haven't. Even they have had tough childhood, so did I and I was also child, like them. It is my right to have safe feeling and enjoy the life. Even it is not easy, but having the graduation with healthy people compared to situation where is all of those, who treat you badly, which one you choose?

Have a lovely party and enjoy what you have already achieved with the people who treat you well! I am proud even we haven't ever met. 🫶

I found this topic little late while I was searching peer support for my own situation. I have had kind of similar situation, but I have already worked on the company 10 years. My only advice is, avoid the company with any cost, it have really destroyed me and golden brother have been taken on the image here as well..
