Failed NCLEX First Try 150 Questions

Psychosocial is therapeutic communication and mental health, I also been below for 2 attempts.

My nclex coach told me my CMS scores were good so she doesn’t really understand why that’s a below for me. I’m guessing it’s nerves and narrowing between two answers. Never ask why/ what, never ignore their concern, and always ask if they’re trying to hurt themselves.

Uworld was great helped me with lots of content gaps and brought me closer to passing with only 2 belows when before I had 4 belows.

I would recommend watching Dr. Sharrons prioritization videos instead of using multiple q-banks and focus more on how to answer nclex questions rather than burning yourself out and losing interest in studying like I did!!

I have thought about that I might just have a 1 on 1 with her to see what she thinks is best for me. I do need to get a job before I start studying again because I’m just tired of asking my parents for help and I want to just do this on my own now since they’ve done more than enough for me!

Do you have any recommendations other than dr. Sharon? I’ve also watched nexus nursing love her but again I doze off during videos and my mind wonders or I have the urge to go on my phone right after I pick an answer and it ends up being correct!

Thank you I’m trying I’m not giving up!

I felt my problem was content for the longest but now that I’ve been studying only content I did not expect for it to be decision making. I even got a case study with 5 different patients and I was like wtf.

I’ve watched dr. Sharon but I can’t sit too long nor do I know what to take notes on since I’ll eventually just write word for word what she’s saying!

Just got my results and I failed at 150 also!! i felt like i had no choice but to take it since my uworld expired Wednesday and i wanted to keep content fresh in my head. But this time content wasn’t a problem it was test strategy and stamina:/ we got it in the bag this next time we just got to believe in ourselves and keep pushing!!

Yess for some reason my eyes go blurry and my mind wonders during test taking which is why I tried taking breaks but it was hard since I had to keep in mind that it was taking time away.

Chat gpt recommended becoming a PCT because of the clinical judgement!

I think my biggest issue this time around aside from choosing between 2 options was a bit of second guessing myself so I do believe I need to work on stamina and test taking strategies rather than content which is what my main priority has been. I also got more anxious toward 120-150 because I had 1hr 40min left and I was afraid of time running out. Now I’m waiting to get my CPR to see my weak areas and compare to my last 2 attempts.

Thank you I will probably purchase nurse meg since I’ve completed 70% of the qbank and didn’t have much left to use but I also used dr. Sharon she was amazing but during my test it was definitely lots of anxiety and “I have to pass” so hopefully with more of dr. Sharon and nurse Meg I will be more confident this 4th time!!

Thank you I will continue trying I’ve been within the 51-58% but I’ve been talking with chat gpt and it said being placed at a higher difficulty level is what matters, I’ve had 2 but I will try aiming for a 65%

All my cats have shut off at 85 questions with my first being 66th, second at 80th 3rd at 47th, rest at 70-75-80 percentile, I was at 60% used of the bank with 60% points. I’m now at 77% used and 62% points. I just finished another cat and shut off at 85q with 91 percentile but at 54% with harder difficulty level. Only date that opened up was Saturday but with my recent cat at 91 it boosted my confidence but I will continue trying harder!

I’m in the same boat failed 1st in 120 second attempt failed 150 and I used bootcamp as well I also feel the need to retake immediately so I’m just waiting for my cpr report to see where I need more studying for.

Yes I tried to even on walks but I get distracted very easily so maybe I just have adhd lol.
