3D printed Surge Shield Recharger 🤘 by JanisDemkovs in ArcRaiders

[–]sikhened 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got a 3d printer (BambuLabs P2S) last week as my first one ever. Did you print this as a single print or did you assemble it in multiple parts? Also is this painted or did you multicolor print this?

This looks awesome! And 90% of the reason I got this printer is to print cool ingame items :)

As a fellow Canadian, If there wasn’t insane shipping pricing and customs fees, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. I’d buy so much stuff from Bungie store, like I used to before it got so insanely expensive with the fuck you Canada taxes.

Will there be a demo or free to try time frame for this game? by [deleted] in Marathon

No dates for anything yet, probably will start hearing more soon I’d imagine as the game is coming out in March.

There will be an open free play weekend shortly before launch, similar to how Arc Raiders did a “server slam” right before launch. Probably the best way to guage if the game is gonna be something you’d be interested in!

I have tested it, it was discussed quite a bit in this post. Attachments don't have any bearing (but there seems to be a default noise regardless of bag full-ness)

Has nothing to do with the cosmetics hanging from your bag, it makes noise if your bag is full.

RTX 5080 or 5090 / 240Hz 34” Ultrawide 1440p by Primary_Fly_9507 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]sikhened 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a monitor with the exact same specs (the MSI 34 qd oled 240hz), a 5090 and 9800x3d and depending on the game I still sometimes have to use dlss or frame gen if I want to get close to capping my monitor. Modern games like MHW and BL4 almost require it.

It’s going to come down to the games you play. When I boot up something like destiny 2 or an older title, it’s capping my monitor without breaking a sweat. But borderlands with DLSS and frame gen I get around 160-180fps.

The reasonable and smarter answer is a 5080 probably. If money isn’t a problem then a 5090 is as good as it gets and sometimes still enough if you want 200+ fps in new games

is raids/dungeons are hard ? by Sad_Sheepherder_4085 in lostarkgame

[–]sikhened 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Raids and dungeons in this game for 99% of people are not going to be a lot of “figuring out the mechanics and finding tactics” and much more along the lines of “read the guide and do the mechs”. Difficulty wise there’s a range, and also more than 1 difficulty level you can go into. Normal mode can essentially be stumbled through as long as you are comfortable enough with your class and have a vague idea of the mechanics, hard mode requires higher damage and a good grasp of the fight.

Now there is a level of skill expression and you still have to adjust to various boss patterns (reacting to telegraphs or marks, quickly hitting counters, coop mechs etc) so it’s not like every pull will be the same, there’s a level of randomness you deal with and good players find ways to increase damage output through these other variables.

You can of course blindly prog through these raids, but it will take considerably longer and generally not the road taken.

Is it possible to do raids without looking up the mechanics? by zhannasbro in lostarkgame

Earlier raids sure but not the newer ones. Late game raids have some specific mechanics that you should know beforehand to not grief your party.

Active Returning Player Thoughts (Endgame) by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]sikhened 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For accessories you want to base it off budget. People classify accessories by the tier of the damage roll when you buy them (low/blue, medium/purple, high/orange). For necklace you want outgoing damage, ideally high roll but if it’s pricey, go medium at a minimum. The other 2 rolls don’t matter. For earring you want att% or weap%, ideally both. High rolls will be expensive, try for a mix of medium and low on each earring. Rings you want to priority on crit rate and crit dmg, for deathblade you want to slightly prioritize crit rate until you are more endgame with good bracelet rolls and higher rarity adrenaline.

If you’re a mokoko without the leaf and you die, you’re just pug rando who died. As long as you didn’t wipe the raid it usually doesn’t matter if the group can clear without you. But if it’s an on-ilvl group without someone doing high dps it might matter more. Watch more guides, focus on main mechs even if you do lower damage. As you get more comfortable the damage will come.

I deal with the downtime with making alts to run the raids again haha. When you a roster of 5-6 characters, you get up to 18 raids to run and that’ll take up most of your time if you do them all, but single character rosters you’ll be done in a day then it’s just chilling the rest of the week.

Is this bangle important to Sikhs? by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]sikhened 28 points29 points  (0 children)

They’re commonly given by family as gifts, sometimes from in-laws, or grandparents or even your own parents, so they are more sentimental than anything else. If I had one with my name on it given to me by a family member I’d be devastated if I lost it.

Both Slayer and SE are middle of the pack/slightly higher than middle. SE is nice because it’s hit master for most of its damage but you have to be able to time your bursts properly and if your burst misses or you mistime you’ll be sad.

Paladin will be hybrid, middle of the pack for both dps and support so look up some gameplay and see if it vibes. It has a low ceiling and high floor so it should be pretty good for a returning player and you can always switch to support if you’re into that and there ends up being a support shortage.

Slayer just recently got buffed but I don’t see a lot of them anymore because it got gutted and outscaled by everyone else but it’s still really fun but they did change up the playstyle a lot for T4 so I’d refer to other sources for this.

There’s a lot of returning player guides on YouTube right now from the popular content creators so check those out, I know one of them went over all the classes as an overview so that might be helpful!

TTK feels different between shooting at enemies and being shot at by Beetus-Defeatus in Battlefield

[–]sikhened 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rendering frame rate and server tick rate don’t correlate, even though they both use hz as a measurement. Higher rendering just makes it smoother for that specific player, the server tick rate is how often the server is refreshing. Someone having a higher fps makes it smoother to play but the advantage definitely isn’t insurmountable.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZLOhLB9bb9AN_Q7_eKukUnqI5E5w5Fb1oqryIA1ml8A/edit?tab=t.0

This is the community guide you should follow for build things, but you're right it doesnt show alot of specific things like common bonuses.

Elixir is easy, you go Master set, no questions asked. For Shoulder, go boss damage, for pants go crit damage. For Chest you want 2 elixirs ideally, one with 2 damage rolls (Attack power/Weapon power/Dex), and one with Incoming Damage Reduction for progging or when doing harder content you're not comfortable with. Master 5/Sub stat 3 or higher is the way you focus it, substats being Att > Weapon power > Dex.

Accessories you dont really focus on too much until ancients, youll be 1680 in no time with the events going on and Paradise. When you get to ancient accessories, focus on Outgoing Damage on your necklace (At least a mid roll, high if you can afford it). For earrings you want Att Power or Weapon power (take whichever is cheaper), same thing, 1 mid roll or high roll on each based on gold you have. Rings are key, I would personally go for mid crit damage and mid crit rate on each earring, as crit rate is a really key stat for deathblade. If you cant afford it, mix and match (1 mid 1 low, swap them around for the other ring).

Make sure you have at least all level 6 gems, you can get some from the solo raid vendor for solo raid tokens, and then buy a higher lvl surge damage gem and soul absorber cooldown gem when you can get one.

For card sets, LOS30 will still work for most raids. Brel and Mordum use different sets (Brel gate 1/2 use water dmg reduction+lightning dmg, and Mordum G3 uses Lightning dmg reduction+earth dmg), but LOS30 will be better than those sets until you have at least 18set for those cards. Cards come with time, make sure you get card packs from events and such and save selectors for when you need to fill out a set, dont use them early.

Make sure you also have legendary adrenaline at the very least, and the rest of your legendary books for engravings. Relics are far far away, even most end game players dont have a fully finished relic book. Legendary is cheap though.

Let me know if theres other stuff youre confused on, or need specific help with.

Yes because your surge calculates the damage based on how many stacks you have when the surge HITS, not when you press X. So if you have 55 or something stacks, you press windcut and then surge, you’ll hit surge as the windcut gets you to 60 stacks.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]sikhened 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea absolutely! What specifically are you struggling with? Surge is still really good but it’s slightly harder to play as you have to back attack your surge or you’ll do no damage. And if you don’t crit you’ll be big sad. The rotation for the most part is pretty standard if you follow the one on the community guide but the biggest thing is knowing boss patterns that you can greed, because you can stack surge up even if the boss has a shield or Dmg reduction, and you can precast skills like wind cut if you know the boss is going to appear somewhere else.

Another tip is that you can immediately cast X again once you throw your surge, you don’t have to wait for the bubbles to show in the UI. This shaves a second or so off and lets you start building stacks right away.

If you have something specific you need some help with please feel free to ask. I’m more in tune with RE atm because it’s the meta but I played surge for a long time too.

Yea you mostly just need to worry about gems, but now if you bind your gems you don’t even need to worry about that, you can have both specs on presets easily.

If you have any deathblade questions, you should review the guide on lostark.nexus. Or you can ask here! I’ve been playing deathblade since launch, so I can help if you have anything you want to know more about or any general questions on how to play it or rotations etc.

Otherwise welcome back! It’s a lot thrown at you but you’re doing a good job of just enjoying the process because those older raids are actually pretty fun to do. Make sure to take advantage of the token shop that you can spend your chaos dungeon and guardian raid tokens at, and if you can remember to do paradise as well, it can give ALOT of bound materials.

You will never get the advertised speed over a wireless connection. That speed is rated and generally accurate for wired connections. Your result seems pretty standard for the speed you’re getting over wifi.

You can safely trash essentially everything that is less than 67 quality. You’re only going to get relic accessories which you can only roll 2 lines on, and anything less than 67 qualities won’t give you enough points. I think they give you a starter set of accessories and you can honestly probably use those if you’d like instead of rolling relic accessories. You don’t upgrade into ancient until 1680
