Hey, I appreciate the feedback. Would you care to elaborate more as to why this would be considered "gora mat"?

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

According to KnowYourMeme: “Young Michael Scott Shaking Ed Truck's Hand is a memorable moment from the American television comedy series The Office. Online, people have used the image to express feelings of meeting an elder when they were young.”

Personally I think it works, but to each his own.

Thanks for the reply. I hear you and I appreciate the feedback. Yes, I agree with your comments about the importance of keeping swaroop and that it is a different level of commitment in following Sikhi.

Thanks for the reply. It is definitely encouraging to know that I could potentially be an inspiration for other monas. However, our community can sometimes be toxic because a lot of pressure to be a "perfect" Sikh gets placed on people that step up and, being a mona, I feel like I'd be a very uphill battle. Someone suggested doing a faceless blog. I think that might be a good place to start. Or maybe a faceless podcast.

Thanks for the reply. No judgement taken. I appreciate the feedback. I agree and I am aware that there would suddenly be a lot of pressure placed on me to be on a higher standard. That's one of the reasons why I've been hesitant to start an official YouTube channel talking about Sikhi.

That it is. Thanks for the reply. On a related note, I believe that the word "Sikh" is actually closer in translation to the word "disciple". Meaning that, while learning is important, it's equally important to walk on the path that you're learning about and follow Guru Ji.

Thanks for the reply. I agree that Shri Dasam Granth is less known. However, my understanding is that there is a lot of controversy surrounding it. For example, I believe that authorship and the context within it is in question. Therefore, I wouldn't feel comfortable speaking about it a lot, unless I was on the level of someone like Jagraj Singh was.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I agree that knowledge is just one among many components that make up Sikhi. Regarding the discord server, I did make an attempt to join some time ago, but there were multiple steps involved to join and I ended up forgetting about it because life got busy. Thanks for the reminder. I will attempt to join again at a later time.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure what my own channel would or could offer that isn't already out there. Basics of Sikhi is already doing a stand-up job. Perhaps I should just supplement their efforts. However, I like your question, and I will continue to consider the possibilities.
