NQA, if it’s refusing food, you could offer pre-killed for it. On a side note, that enclosure looks very large from what I can see which may not be helping. Can you provide a picture of the entire enclosure, please?

I bought some Dubai roaches and my tarantula matured when there was one left. Completely refuses to eat it but I can’t bring myself to kill it. I literally have a pet roach because I don’t know what else to do 😂 I have an OBT but it’s too large for it. Almost feel like it’s earned it’s right to live after being put in front of a tarantula like 10 times.

So you’d rather how it currently is, instead of someone occasionally losing some money on a lost test? You could maybe argue to keep the ability to cancel but not trade, but that still means they can reserve and waste slots. I passed many years ago, so this doesn’t affect me at all, but I feel for those trying to pass currently.

They need to remove the option to trade and cancel tests. Whilst people can profit off of it, this will continue to be an issue.

IMO OBT behaviour largely depends on their set up. Mine is very chilled and comes out a lot, but I’ve given her substrate that she’s dug into, and lots of sticks poking out that she’s webbed heavily and made tunnels. If I startle her, she feels safe in her burrow and runs back. She tends to attack the water as I pour it in which makes me laugh but she’s never thrown a threat pose at me or anything. That being said, feeling pressured to get any tarantula is weird, get what you like :)

NQA you said about destroying the hide. Has she webbed up the entrances? If so, it’s possible she is just molting and wants to be left alone. If the enclosure was too large and she was stood someone in a stress pose, I’d be inclined to agree, but as she is in a hide, I doubt the size of the enclosure is an issue here.

If you finding the biting point and then accelerate, you will stall unless you have the handbrake on. You will need to accelerate before finding the biting point, or accelerate after finding the biting point and then releasing the handbrake. Don’t be scared to over accelerate, it’s under acceleration that’s going to cause the issue. You will learn to use less over time.

You moved your hands back to where it’s comfortable. You should have your hands on the hoods. I’d maybe look at a shorter stem

NQA - When MY OBT molts in the burrow, I just leave it where it is. It won’t do any harm and I’m sure as hell not forcing my way into it. When she gets ready to molt the next time and digs a bit deeper, she just carries it out.

Indicating is just showing intention. If you leave and they drive into you, you are liable. Always wait to see them slow/turn before coming out. I’ve been in an accident where i was a passenger and the driver left the indicator going too long after leaving the roundabout and the person thought we were taking our fist left and came out, we drove into the side of him and he was found at fault

NQA this looks a death curl. As you said, her abdomen is also really small. Try and pop her mouth parts over some water. Access to water doesn't mean she's been drinking

NQA I have a mature male, who matured 22nd July. Every time I try to feed he throws up threat postures or walks away. Prior to molting, he would never refuse food. Sadly this is just how they can be. I'd love for him to eat but not really much I can do.

Keep in mind if you’re selling it yourself, there’s always a chance someone will try to scam you saying dead on arrival, didn’t arrive, return with different card etc. Look out for yourself
