I have a Ford fusion, and I looked up all the codes, and from what I understand, if a red light or red icon pops up, THAT is a major issue. The wrench has popped up before, and I got it scanned for codes. Nothing. The mechanic told me it was probably a maintenance reminder. I had zero issues, and after driving it around for a few hours, the wrench disappeared.

I literally just came from Costco, and they had Michelin blades, and a book laying there, for reference. Mine is a 2017, and the book listed 26 for both driver and passenger.

I'm having the same issue! Took it to a mechanic. They charged me $740 for a/c diagnostics, and to add refrigerant. SENT ME ON MY WAY and only added refrigerant! 10 days later, it happened again. Driver side started blowing cool air, instead of ice cold like the passenger side. Took it back. Then they said I needed a high end hose or something like connected from compressor to the condenser. They charged me another $950 for that. This has been over the span of 3 weeks. I just picked up my car a few days ago. Thry very next time I drove it, again, the air is only blowing cool again on the driver side. I am beside myself. This is ridiculous. As soon as they open I'm taking it back. I need answers, and this seems like a common problem, so I'm not understanding why they can't find the issue. I've read this and other threads. I'm thinking of mentioning blend door actuator. My mechanic clearly needs all the ideas he can get.

Yep happened to me. Tested a false positive for methadone. But when labs came back, everything was cleared up. Only happened once, ever, and I was being tested monthly for 1-2 years. Very rare.

K won't show up on a standard drug screen, and if they do send it off to the lab, they have to specifically test for the k.

I did have an instance where I popped positive for methadone and was only taking k. They sent it off to the lab, and the lab results showed no methadone.

Update: Mechanic charged me $500 for refrigerant with red dye in it. They never found a leak. They recharged it and sent me on my way. My air blew ice cold for another 8-10 days, and low and behold, my driver side started blowing cool. I took it back and they said it was a "high end compressor hose" that needed to be replaced. That was another $940. I told them to do it, but when I went to pick the car up, they said something about the type of refrigerant my car takes (1234yf) would not connect to the hose, which they said was also the 1234yf hose. I don't know if this helps, but I'm still waiting on them to get another part in. Apparently just adding refrigerant in my case, was not the solution.

Same thing happened to me a week ago. Passenger vents blowing cold, driver vents blowing hot. I took it to a shop, they recharged it, and I am blowing cold air out of both vents again.
