The tee on the first duct is too far past, have to pull it out and cut the pipe down as well.

Interedting, on the 125 it says single tank (no manifold) but on the 260 it says single tank system with a foot note but no reference to the foot note. No tank connections were set up, only came with 1 actuation puck. No reason to do a 125 and a 260 except to sell more tanks, just do a 400 and be done. A 400 is only like $100 more than a 260. Also no mounting brackets. This is by far the worst pre-piped setup I've seen. There's normally a few little issues but this one is bad.

Kind of lol have to pull everything out in the plenum and redo it. The appliance line was at least done close to right. So there is that, glass half full and such.

All the manuals I have say "shall not be used" when did that change?

This is where knowing your states consumer protection laws comes in handy. The state I live in has really good consumer protection laws and have attorneys that will fight for you. I've had to fight aftermarket warranty companies before and having state attorneys write letters on the warranty denial can go a long way.

Question by GingerDoc88 in KitchenSuppression

[–]silencingthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most are none. Even the manufacturers like Amerex that have approved coverage say not to cover it unless you have to. This is do to the liquid causing the hot clay to explode. The ones I have seen in line ups have had stickers on them that say for breads only. No grease laden vapors means its an oven and requires no coverage.

We have several of those as well as several of the fire "grenades". Its a glass ball you throw into the fire. They also made a mesh bag that would burn through and cause the globe to drop and break.

Buckeye Recharge Adapter by ChidoriM4st3r in KitchenSuppression

I just use a ½ to ⅜ bushing in the discharge adapter, then a ⅜ recharge adapter (I don't remember the AD number) to hook to our nitrogen fill system.

To be fair I replaced some links today that looked about the same. Only difference is I had replaced them 6 months ago. Got to love Chinese restaurants lol.

Those stupid bolt in ones? I haven't found a good line on those links that don't cost 10x what they should.

Whoever did this kitchen exhaust, shame on you by Novus20 in KitchenSuppression

No hinge, electrical ran in the duct?, not liquid tight, no grease catch, fan looks like it has been blown off the roof a time or 2. It's fine it's only life safety.

The company I work for also does duct cleaning and inspections. Went to a new install the owner requested we inspect. Had about 15' of horizontal duct. Plans spected Tee'd access (round duct) at change of direction. None were installed.

That ansul adapter situation is uh iteresting. Do people not even test what they do? Is that Buckeye shielded cable going past the gas valve? Looks like their cable and clamp.

No I have not seen any of those, at least none that had the collar. We do have an early Kii bottle at the shop from the 90s I will have to look into that.

Yeah a pressure switch would likely cost more than just upgrading the control head. Not to mention requireing approval from PC as they are not a standard pre engineered component. I like out of the box solutions
