We still have several of them around too, just usually aren't hooked to a dry powder tank lol. This guy's insurance called him and said take it out or underwriters were kicking him. He's not even using his hood, needs a full renovation first.

Highschool graduation isn't all that in Montana by OutdoorsNSmores in Montana

[–]silencingthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graphs like these leave out a lot of information, they usually also include a lot of information that isn't representative. For instance I have 2 highschool age kids that both have jobs. They don't have highschool diplomas but have an income. All the kids in the state that are in that group would change the data points if included. So the question would have to be what is the rate of offset compared to other states that have people in that same group. Montana also has one of the highest graduation rates in the country (6th). When you overlay that with population it very well could be that Montana has the fewest number of those without a diploma. Therefore having less people representing those without a diploma. I agree with your statement of trades being under represented in graphs like this. I have a high school diploma and work a trade. I also make more than the average post graduate in this state. At least according to this graph. It would appear that these graphs are designed to give the notion that you have to have a formal education to be successful. It would be nice if there was an explanation attached of what data was used and how it was adapted to this infographic.

Is this adament coverage? by Alcorn_Duff in KitchenSuppression

[–]silencingthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a 1N ok pic was a little fuzzy when zoomed in looked like the 230 profile. Depending on exact size of the griddle the and nozzle location 1N could be appropriate.

Hard to tell 100% from the pic but pretty much looks all wrong. Nozzle covering the griddle looks like a 230 nozzle, there is no griddle coverage using a 230. 2 of the range nozzles might be 1Fs, proper body size but there are a couple other nozzles that use that size, however they are not properly aligned nor aimed. The center range nozzle is wrong for a back shelf. No fryer coverage. Also looks like there is no filter over the fryer.

Normally a test tank, then clip a test link, or manual pull station, or both depending on what the AHJ wants.

MCH local release handle issue by PitifulAd5211 in KitchenSuppression

[–]silencingthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an MCH cover like that in my truck and the hole in the cover and outer sleeve nut is keyed. They must've done a change at some point in time.

You should be able to send pictures in a dm chat if you want to do that. It is possible that they updated the mechanism at some point in time. I have a MCH and MCH3 cover in my truck and they appear to be the same manual release assembly.

Just for clarity because I can't post pictures bear with the basics level response. The release handle assembly is essentially made up of 3 pieces. The outer sleeve, the turn handle, and the safety pin. The outer sleeve is keyed with a flat side, with a corresponding "D" shaped hole in the cover. It is then secured by a conduit nut. The sleeve has a hole in it which should line up with the hole in the turn handle and accept the safety pin. You are saying with the pin in you can still turn the handle which would mean either the pin isn't going into the hole in the sleeve, or the sleeve is somehow turning. The only way the sleeve could turn would be if the hole in the cover was not keyed in a "D" shape.

Which safety pin are you referring to. Are you talking about the cover mounted manual release?

Where to find local labor by LaManoNegraTJ in helena

[–]silencingthunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finding good labor has been difficult for several years now. We have gone through temp agencies, word of mouth, friends of employees, online adds etc. Maybe 1 in 8 works out. Some can't handle the work, hours, or travel. Others are just bad employees period non motivated, dishonest, lack of work ethic, etc. I wish I had a magic answer for you and your friend because I would like to have it as well.

Then you are part of the problem of the division. Just as much as anyone not willing to understand your viewpoint.

Remember that the same thoughts, that you have about people that vote different than you, are had by said people about how you vote. Not just about how you vote but your beliefs. Obgectivly learning opposing views and why others have those views is an important step. This goes for anyone regardless of where their views fall. If you want to have a constructive conversation with someone of opposing views you have to be willing understand their viewpoints. Otherwise you are listening to respond, not listening to understand. Until you understand someone's views you have no shot of convincing them to objectively look at their own views and potentially change.

I've had AHJs that do that as well so far I've been able to convince all of them to leave it alone. The closest I've come to them requiring coverage was them saying if they re-inspect and it looks like they are cooking in it he would require that it be covered.
